monday 3:00pm golden knight hospital. "oh man where am i" shadow says in a low groggy voice as he slowly opened his eyes and sat up in his hospital bed holding his head. "i cant believe it your finally awake you had me so worried" says a familiar voice. shadow looked over by the door and rubbed his eyes trying to get his vision back. "you have been out could for five days and your body had been seriously injured" the person continued. "Jenny is..is that you" shadow says blinking his eyes as his vision finally cleared. "how did i get here and where is my stuff" shadow continued as he looked around the room. "did you even hear me ugh will you ever change....you cant keep pushing yourself like this your going to get yourself killed and you know i care about you" jenny exclaimed as james walked into the room. "i had a feeling you had awaken so i brought you your things and i sharpened and tempered your sword for you" james says setting it on stand next to the bed. "but dad he cant he isnt completely healed and if he keeps this up he might not come back" jenny says looking at james and then at shadow. "this is something that he has to do we have no right to stop him i know how u feel about him so i understand that u dont want him to leave but if he doesnt do this he wont be able to live with himself he has made up his mind now can you give me and him a minute i need to talk to him alone" james says. jenny walks out of the room and closes the door. shadow sits back up and starts taking the tubes and wires off of himself as james sits in the chair previously occupied by jenny "you do know she never left your side she was actually the one that got you here she followed you to the train station and when you collapsed he carried you here" "and i thank her but i must continue my mission but tell her i promise ill come back when its done" "shadow im not gonna stop you since the day jenny and i found you all bloody and beaten on the side of the desert road ten years ago i knew this day would come and to think you and jenny were both only twelve now here you are twenty-two" "james i want to thank you for everything you have done for me" "no need but now to business you are currently ranked 14 and the ASA left you a get well soon gift and this folder" "w..wait after my last fight i should have been ranked 19 how did i jump to 14" "the ASA said something about changing the rules and held a tournament that you and ranks all the way to 12 were to participate in but since you were out cold only 18, 17, 16, and 15 participated and as it turns out they all killed each other no one survived" "so im guessing now that im up i have to finish the tournament by fighting 13 and 12" "yup everything you need to know is in this folder and some chick named eve called right before you woke up telling me to tell you to call do you have some kind of hidden relationship going on". jenny bursts into the room "you better not or you'll have to worry bout alot more than those assassins" she exclaimes. james glares at jenny and she quickly leaves the room and closes the door again. "i hate that bitch she works for the ASA i guess you can call her my handler she tells me updates and other important information but anyway whats this get well soon gift you told me they left". james grins and holds up two sets of keys "they left two actually but you have to choose one the other is mine so you can either take the car or the motorcycle" "ill take the motorcycle" "i kinda figured well its in the parking lot you'll know it when you see it but anyway iv wasted enough of your time get dressed me and jenny will be outside waiting" james says walking out into the hall and closes the door. shadow get up and looks at the hospital robe he was in then took it off leaving him standing in his boxers and also exposing all the scares some healed some still healing "not the first and definatly not my last" as shadow puts on his pants he looks up at the mirrior and sees a female figure standing behind him and he quickly turns around. "who are you and how did you get in here" "so your the new 14th huh ooo i like a man with battle wounds" the woman says as she walks around shadow rubbing his chest and back feeling the scares. shadow pulls away and looks at her up and down "answer me who are you and how did you get in more importantly why are you here you dont seems to be carrying any weapons so i dont think your here to kill me" "i am going to be your opponent i am the 12th but call me samantha and im only here to as they say check out the competition but i know all i need to so ill be on my way" she says with a grin as she fades into the wall. shadow looked around the room then quickly finished getting dressed and picked up his sword. "it feels heavier than i remember" shadow unsheathes the sword and it shines miraculously in the mid day light seeping through the window covers. shadow swings it alittle then does a simple practice move "its definitely heavier but it moves so much better" shadow sheathes the sword places it on his back and walks into the hall. jenny assults him with a hug that makes him wince in pain "ill be waisting for the day you come home" jenny says as tears start to form and she lets him go. she looks shadow in the eyes and turns then starts running down the hall crying. "she'll be ok just do what you need to you know where the bar is so you know where to find us take care my friend" james says then starts walking down the hall after jenny. shadow wipes away some tears that start to form and heads down the oppoisite hallway. As shadow left the hospital the mid day light showering over him shadow squinted his eyes as they adjusted to the light. shadow looks around and sees a black ducati 999 and next to it a black lotus exige. "i should have taken the car" shadow says walking to the ducati. as shadow puts the key into the ignition his phone rings "i think my doctor told me to stay away from annoying bitches for a while" shadow says answering it "oh ha ha very funny shadow " "yea i try now what did you want" "get to these coordinates your opponent is waiting" she hangs up abruptly. "oh i think i hit a nerve heh" shadow puts his phone in his pocket and revs up the bike then looks up at the sky. "im only getting closer brother i hope your ready" shadow says as he takes off on the bike into the city streets.
