New Beginnings

|Prologue|

Ana

"I'm leaving you Trent." I say to him.

"Ana, Ana, Ana. How many times are you going to make the same empty threat" he grumbled as he reached across the table to grab my arm.

"Let go of me." he does only because we are in a public place.

"Ana get your ass up because we are leaving. Now." he says more calmly.

"No Trent I'm leaving you." I say more firmly.

"You're being serious. Okay, leave. I'll be waiting at home when you're ready to stop playing games. Remember the last time you tried to leave? It'll be worse this time "

I stand up from the table give him my key to our apartment and leave. I get into my car and drive home with the little belongings that are actually mine and head home. Home to Sherwood Oregon. Which is a long drive from Huntington Beach California.

I can't believe I actually did that. It feels so good to leave and start over. I was in an abusing relationship with Trent for three years. I met him in my sociology class sophomore year in college. We started to date after a month of getting to know each other. At the begging of our relationship it was great. We had fun and were in love. After a year of dating we decided to move in together. That's when things changed. He was aggressive and demanding. And very jealous. Then one day he hit me. And that was the day that I knew things were going to be different. Our relationship was going to change.

But now no more hitting no more hurtful words. No more Trent. I'm free.

I looked at my childhood home one last time before I get into my truck and leave the place that only brings me heartache.

Portland Oregon will no longer hold good memories for me. That's why I decided to move to where my parents grew up. Sherwood. Small town where no one knows me. Perfect.

I hear a bark and look at the passengers side of my truck to see the only family I have left. Two golden retrievers siblings.

"Time to go guys." I say to them

I turn on the ignition and drive to Sherwood. I drive to start my new life.

So this is my second story on here. It's going to be a little different. I'm not sure when I'll be updating. I'll be staring college soon. And I'm going to finish my other story. It would be great if you can read it too. Its called Mr.Right Or Mr.Wrong.
