Chapter 5

"That man,..." he looked at us worried for a few seconds. "He was a scientist. When I arrived I build this shed, after a week another boy that had come with me, died. Shortly afterwards the scientist captured me. It hasn't been long since I arrived."

"What kind of experiments does he do?" Amy asked.

"He puts animal's skills into humans."

"How?" My sister asked.

"The other day I saw that he was leaving. The animals are usually on the other side of the island, far away from here. When he came back he had the animal's skills like cheetah's speed, he put it into a horse so that the horse can run faster. When you threw that shell to his head he passed out because he had increased its weight. When you came he was trying to experiment with me. The 90% of the animals he had tried his experiments have died. He grew tired of it and wanted to try it with me. That's what happened. And you? How have you arrived?" he asked.

We explained him our story and we went to bed. It took me a long time to fall asleep, it was because of the beds, that weren't very comfortable, and everything that had happened that day. I couldn't stop thinking what Liam had said.

The next morning, when I woke up I couldn't see Amy. It was just Liam and me in the room.

I woke Liam up, afraid that something bad had happened to her. Before he had understood what had happened I found a note on the table. In the note someone had drawn a skull and a cross. At that moment fear took my breath away.

Liam told me that we should go to the scientist's house. He was worried too.
