Day 3 of the Vacation
I wake up feeling gratified to still feel her head on my arm. I open my eyes and looked at her beside me. I didn't want to break free of this position- even though my arm is getting a bit numb- I didn't want to move. I liked this small fact that I woke up just how we fell asleep.
I still don't know what is happening to me. I don't know. Or maybe I do know, but I just didnt want to admit it yet.
I watch her breathe evenly and calmly; an oppose from my fast heartbeating. "Chloelyn, what're you doing to me?" I think to my self.
Slowly, she begins to wake up (as if hearing my thoughts). She stretches her body slightly and maintained her head on my arm -I'm glad about it-and opens her eyes. She yawns.
She looks at me and immediately, softly, beautifully and gracefully, she smiles. Her eyes still glistening from the tears that formed from her yawn. It still amazes me that she is definitely more gorgeous with no make up on.
My heart -It's not fast anymore. It's rather beating immensely, making it harder to breathe.
"Holy shit." the thought nearly escaped from my mouth. But I don't know if the expression on my face shows it.
At this moment. While she smiles at me. While I look at her. I had this Holy shit moment. This is bad. So I close my eyes again- acting like going back to sleep- desperately trying to escape from this moment.
She's a girl. I'm straight. Chloe's straight. She just became my best friend. She has a boyfriend and SHE Is. A. GIRL.
"I'm gonna make breakfast." she says.
I didn't respond. I still don't know how to face this moment.
She nuzzles her face on my cheeks. Oh no.
"Open your eyes Sam. Come & help me." she whispers on my cheeks, her voice vibrating on my flushed skin.
Then and there I realized:
Oh my God. Holy shit.
Meteor syndrome.
I am in love with Chloelyn Kiefferman.
