"Fire!" a gray tabby Tom flew past, scaly wings beating up dust.

"Quit your yapping!" Stripedfeather the elder hissed. "My wings aren't what they used to be."

"But Cloudmoon is having kits!" Jaymoon the Medicine Cat spat.

"Stop!" Moonstar stepped between the two. "Go help Cloudmoon, I'll carry Stripedfeather to safety."

Jaymoon nodded and flew towards the nursery.

"Come on," Moonstar straddled Stripedfeather onto his back. Flying up off the ground he took off, watching Jaymoon between the flames. "Good luck."

"You haven't told him he's part SunClan?" Stripedfeather mewed.

"No, I just don't want him to know my first mate was their deputy. She had to give him away to keep her safe," Moonstar meowed solemnly. "Anyways, you mourning for Breezy?"

"Until we meet again," Stripedfeather said as Moonstar flew down with the rest of the clan.

Cloudyground flew down, Moonkit in her jaws. Nightfeather placed Darkkit in front of her.

"Thank you," Cloudyground nuzzled him.

Moonstar watched in disgust. Cloudyground was Jaymoon's mate, and Cloudmoon was Nightfeather's mate.

Nightfeather spread out his wings and prepared to take off.

"Uh, Nightfeather," Moonstar stopped him. "Where are you going?"

"To see if Jaymoon needs help," Nightfeather meowed.

"Go help him," Moonstar flicked his tail. "It'll do him good."

Nightfeather spread out his wings again and flew off towards camp. Moonstar smelled burning fresh-kill but it didn't matter to him. "Everyone, go to the river to get a drink and wash the ash off of your fur. It'll clean your lungs."

Moonstar lead his clan to the river to get a drink. On the way, his clan caught prey and ate by the river, the kits running from the waves.

"Look," Moonstar padded towards Moonkit and Darkkit. He placed his paws in the sand and made a small tunnel. Moonkit stuck his paw in and the tunnel collapsed. Laughing, the two kits began creating stuff with the sand.

"Hey!" Moonstar whirled around. A SunClan patrol was plastered across the river. "What are you doing on our territory?"

"We're not on your territory!" Moonstar spat.

"Then why are you here?" The SunClan deputy, Lightflight, spat.

"There's a fire in our camp," the MoonClan deputy, Darkwing, chuffed.

Lightflight curled her lip in disgust, "Don't cross the border."

"The river is not the border!" Moonstar snarled. "Unless you want to fight."

"Then, I'll be back," Lightflight meowed. "Everyone will fight."

"So where's the rest of your clan?" Moonstar hissed. "Cowering? They don't dare show their faces."

"Burning enemies," Lightflight turned and flicked her tail to her patrol and left. Did they start the fire?

"Y-you don't think they started the fire, do you?" Darkwing stammered.

"I hope not," Moonstar meowed. He curled up on a makeshift nest and fell asleep.

A dark gray she-cat padded towards him. Moonstar looked at her carefully, studying her features. Stepping back, he meowed, "M-Moondancer?"

The she-cat nodded, "An enemy from moon and sun grows into blood." She vanished, and a battlefield showed, SunClan and MoonClan fighting side by side with two other clans against a large clan. "You will lose."
