Hattie's POV
Beep, beep, beep.
Oh twittering teakettles, is it morning already, it feels as though just a little while ago I was having such a delightful time wondering myself of to sleep. One hundred wonders before sleep is a great start the night, or end the day, which ever one you prefer. What was I thinking about again? Oh, that's right I was wondering about my waking. Oh darn, now that I'm aware of my wondering about my waking it's not as wonderful a wonder as it once was. My that was a fun thought to think. Right well on with the day. What to wear?
"Um, I wouldn't get undressed if I were you," I immediately turned around to see my good friend Chester, son of the Cheshire Cat.
"One, what are you doing here? Two, who let you in? Three, how did you know that I was going to change clothes? "
"You don't seem happy to see me Haddie, I'm hurt, " Chester said with his signature mischievous grin. My, he was hardening my hat today, and having fun doing it!
"Just answer the question! "
"My, someone woke up with the wrong tea in their cup, but fine. One, I was bored so I came over here. Two, no one. And three, you were thinking out loud again.
I felt a hot blush creep onto my face. "I swear, sometimes you are worse than a talking daisy."
"Oh, I'm sure I am, " Chester said without dropping his annoying grin. " I'll be going now Miss Hattie, oh by the way that special visitor is coming today. "
"I knew that," I say managing to get back to my usual mad self.
"Yes, I know you knew that. You see it seems that I have stalled you until 7:55, good day, " I look at the only working in the room and see that he is correct. I then turn back to him and see only a grin which is slowly fading away.
Silly cat, thinking he is so witty. That gives me an idea for a poem. I take out an eraser and write...Silly little kitty sould know me better. For I am the daughter of the mad hatter, and we have only two reasons for keeping the clocks, the first for thier ticks the second thier tocks. It matters not if we are on time. And that is the end of this little rhyme.
