You and Me Forever

I remember when we were little,

On the first day of Kindergarten,

That was when our friendship started.

We played and laughed and had a ball,

This is what I remember,

I remember it all.

We share the same Birthday,

And our names rhyme,

We got mistaken for twins all the time.

When I felt left out or like I didn't belong,

You'd be there,

And I'd know I was wrong.

We used to say,

You and Me Forever,

I want you to know I still feel this way.

When I moved away I was very sad,

Then I'd remember I'd see you at camp,

And even though I missed you it was no longer so bad.

Whenever I'm down or scared or miserable,

I think of you,

And instantly I smile.

Because it's You and Me Forever and that's all I'll say,

We're BFFs Forever and Always,

Even though you're miles away.

I wrote this for my BFF kkisgr8ter after  the poem she posted for me on Wattpad. It put a smile on my face and I hope it puts a smile on hers.
