Secrets

Chapter 6

"Ellie?" Damian asked the person who was standing there. 

"Hi, Damian" Ellie responds. Damian is just staring at her with no emotion written on his face. Ellie was slightly crying, Damian just stared at her as he walked over to her and came to a realization and stopped. 

"Why? How? NO don't answer it will be a lie!!" Damian said as he was crying, he turned and walked away from Ellie.

"DAMIAN? DAMIAN?! Please don't go, I came back for you!!" Ellie said running after him grabbing his arm to stop him, but he kept pushing her away. "Damian!! Please don't walk away from me!! DAMIAN!!" 

Damian continues to walk away from her. Ellie of course starts to crying and mumble to herself before she starts runs to through forests till she can't run anymore, she drops to the ground, puts her back to tree, and lets out an ear-piercing scream. Damian just as he is walking home hears the scream and knows it's Ellie because it sounds just like the night that he lost her. He stops walking, puts his head down trying to not think of that night, he then turns to where the scream came from with tears in his eyes. Damian wants so badly to go to her but knows it will just make things worse so he just runs home. When he slams the door shut and leans his head against the door. He takes a deep shaky breath before he turns around and sees that everyone is in the living room. Damian walks over to a chair and sits down with a tear-stained face. 

Everyone sees this and Felix is the one to ask "Hey what's wrong?"

Damian just stares at the ground, "I have truly lost everything, and now I am nothing."

Everyone knows what he is talking about but doesn't know the real truth, except Shadow. She knows that Ellie was live the whole time, she was the one to help her get better and they have been talking for the past 11 months email, phone, or in person. Shadow gets up and goes to her her and Olly's room, yeah the boys had moved in with the girls after what happened to Ellie. They wanted to help them in any way they could to help them grieve and plus Ellie was their friend too. Once Shadow was in their room she went over to her phone and called Ellie, who picked up, but Shadow didn't really see that Olly had followed her and was outside of the room watching and listening to the conversation. "Hello?"

"Ellie! What happened?! Damian just got back and he is an emotional wreck."

"What?! He saw me, I wanted to explain but he didn't give me the time to before he screamed at me that it was all a lie. Shadow I can't do it, I know it wasn't going to go as planned."

"Ellie please just come to the house and we can fix everything" Shadow said pleading for her to coming. When Olly had finally heard Shadow say bye to Ellie, he walked to Shadow who had turned around to see him standing there. "How long?" Olly asked her not looking at her but at the ground.

"How long what?"

"Who long have you know that Ellie was alive?" Olly said in a almost angry sad tone. "11 months" Shadow said looking down at the ground. "Why?! Why did you tell Damian, or everyone else?!"

"It wasn't my place to just to 'Hey guys, Ellie is not dead she is just recovering. Oh and before I forget she did know she was going to die that night' Now how do you think that would have went down?" Shadow said looking to Olly with a glare, "I love you Olly but this, this was not my secret to tell. It was Ellie's, who by the way is on her way. So try and act surprised for me, please." 

 Olly nods his head and hugs Shadow before picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder and running to the living room. After a while, the front door opened, and in walk Ellie.

"*meow* I'm back. Who missed me?" Ellie said walking in with a smile and throwing her arms up waiting for a hug. Everyone was frozen in a state of shock. 

"Wow! Okay some welcome back" Ellie said kinda sad, putting her arms down walking over to the liquor cabinet and getting some whiskey out. By then everyone was out of shock and were tackling her in a hug, well except Shadow, Olly, and Damian.

"Okay that's more like it"

Thor, Gel, and Baymax wouldn't let go of her, the boys had to pull them off to get a hug themselves. After all the 'I missed you's and 'You're alive', Ellie turned to Damian.

"Damian, before you say anything just let me explain everything. But first I would like to say 'congrats' on Thor and Felix's marriage and for their child that is to come. Gel and Baymax congrats on your marriages too. I wouldn't pick any other guys for the girls." Ellie said smiling, before turning back to Damian. "So what I have to say you may not believe me but I just want you to ask me anything and just listen, okay?" 

Damian nodded

"And since you might think it's a lie, I'm going to take some veritaserum so nothing that I say is a lie. So go ahead ask me anything." Ellie said grabbing the glass of whiskey, taking the potion, and taking a seat on the floor. 

"How are you alive?" Damian asks not looking at her.

 "Well, first I heard what you said when the spirit took over and had done its job. I think it was right before I was stabbed, you said 'So beautiful. I love you Ellie if you can hear me.'" Ellie said biting her lip trying to hold back the tears, before continuing. "I heard you and so did the spirit. She let me go because she saw that I had a future and my heart was fully pure and I never wanted to hurt anyone, not even you. She told me before I was stabbed, that she wish she had what I have and that if she took my soul away she would making another person  die along with me or be asking for death. So that's how I am alive" Ellie said before taking a large sip from her glass. "Anyone else?" 

"Why didn't you come back, when you wake up?" Thor asked.

 "Well I've been in a coma for 8 months and the other 3 was me getting my strength back. So that's why, but I did watch over you guys even though I wasn't allowed out of rehab. Mostly, Damian, I would watch him go to my grave and talk to me as if I was there, tell me his still loved me and all that." Ellie said sadly as she poured more whiskey into her glass. "I even went to everyone's wedding though but he probably won't even remember me there."

"Why didn't you at least call?" Baymax asks, Ellie just laughed.

"I did many times, I just didn't know what to say. I would just sit there on the other end listening to asking 'Who is this?' or 'What do you want?'"

"Who knew you were alive?" Gel asked

"Me, I helped her get back to herself and she was watching over Damian. Many times you would be asleep and I would come in to see her talking to you. One time you had a bad dream, I couldn't wake you up so Ellie had to wake you up and talk to you till you fell back asleep." Shadow said looking to everyone then to Damian. Damian was just amazed that Ellie did that but never really showed herself till now.
