It's him. It's him. Again, he's back. The faceless face staring at me with non-existent eyes. I feel mesmerised but realise that this- thing? Man? Whatever- is out to kill me. In a panicked stumble and adrenaline pumping, I dash through the forest away from him. Not daring to look back as I know that if I do, I won't be able to look forward again. I'd be trapped, trapped in his icy glare. Which seems impossible but god, it feels like he has a million eyes that bore into your soul. In a frenzy of speed and being completely unfit, my legs leave the ground too quickly for me to check myself back up again. I fly forward into a tree, banging my forehead and hearing a sickening "crack" as my torso makes impact with the trunk of the monstrous natural sculpture. My eyes glaze over as I'm thrown back into another tree, this time knocking the wind out of me and bashing the back of my head. I close my eyes as my own blood starts to blind me, pooling over my eyebrows and into my eyes. As soon as my body hits the ground, I pass out from the pain.
