Almost one year ago now, I met that girl. Now I call her my best friend. I still remember the first thing she ever said to me: "Oh, you're the one with Mandzukic?" I was.
God wanted us to meet, I guess. She was completely into football, too.
As the school year continues, we became inseparable. We used to talk to guys about football during every break and I believe that most of the girls ( I mean girly girls) find us weird.
Honestly, I'd rather spend the whole day watching football games than shopping or something. And I don't really care what other people think. And I believe it's one of the most important things. ALWAYS do what makes you happy and find people who will respect that.
Helena (my best friend) and I used to spend our time imagining what would it be like if we ever get to meet Mandzukic, or in her case, Neymar. Our biggest fear was: "What if I get to take a picture with him, and then I look awful?!" Well, if I ever even get a pic with him, I don't care how do I look. People won't even look at me huh😂.
Thanks to Helena I went to my first match of the Croatian national team. We were really excited about that and we were waiting for it for a long time. But some things happened before it. The things we couldn't even imagine.
It was Thursday, and I was studying so hard for my Biology exam which happened to be the next day. While taking a break, I went to Facebook. The first post was by the Croatian Football Federation. "The Croatian National Team will have an opened training on the 23rd of March (Monday). First 100 to comment their name will win the tickets." I tagged Helena immediately and then remembered to type my own name. A while later, I found out that both of us won four tickets.
My Biology exam went okay. Just okay.
That day was a huge day for me. It kinda felt like waking up. Because you know, your dreams will come true only if you wake up and start living them.
