The Bad Girl and The Nerd

Chapter 1: Meeting

~Nate's POV~
My stupid alarm clock woke me up from my amazing dream, it was about me winning the spelling bee, nerd-ish, right? I get up out of bed and head to the bathroom.

When I get into the bathroom I look into the mirror. I look at my messy dark brown almost back hair. Im around 6'2 and my eyes are dark brown. I guess you could say I don't look like your typical nerd.

I quickly hop in the shower and do everything I need to do. I get out and wrap a towel around my waist. I walk back into my bedroom and quickly pull on a pair of boxers, some dark Levi jeans and a black shirt that shows my muscles. I walk back into the bathroom and brush my teeth, my hair has a messy bed look so I leave it alone and go down stairs to get some food, my mother had already left for work with my three little siblings so it was just me. I quickly popped a pop tart in the microwave and heated it up. After it was done I grabbed it and looked at the clock realizing I was going to be late if I didn't hurry. I grabbed my bag with my food in hand and got into my truck. I quickly started it and headed to hell, oh oops I mean school.

When I got to Bridge Wood High the school was buzzing with excitement, it was the middle of the year so I have no idea what the fuss was about. I got out of the truck and headed to my friends. They were talking in hushed voices and were huddling together. My best friend, Mark had blonde hair and green eyes and was short, my other best friend Drake, was the exact opposite. He had black hair and blue eyes and was tall.

"Hey guys, what is up with everybody today?" I asked, announcing my presence.

Mark turned around and looked at me like I had grown a third head, "You seriously don't know what's happened? There's a new girl. And she's hot." All of my friends nodded in agreement.

"Alright, what's her name?" I asked trying to be nice, but let's face it if she was "hot" there was no way she would like any of us.

"Savanna Snow." Drake answered.

"Well, what does she look like?" I questioned.

"Why don't you take a look for yourself." Mark said and pointed to something across the parking lot.

I turned around and followed his line of vision. There stood a girl that was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had long blonde hair that reacted her waist, she had a full chest with legs that looked like they stretched on forever. She was probably around 5'6 maybe 5'7. She threw her head back and laughed at something Bethany Archer, the queen bitch of the school said. Bethany looked over Savanna's shoulder and saw us looking over at her. Bethany said something to Savanna that made her turn her head and look at us curiously. I saw her looking us up and down, probably judging us, because hey why else would she be hanging out with Bethany if she wasn't a bitch? I looked at her as she looked at me. From this distance I couldn't tell what color her eyes were. She smiled at me and turned around as the first bell of the day rang. I walked up the steps of the school and headed to my first period class, before I entered I turned around and looked for Savanna for one last glance but the only glance I got was of her back turning the corner toward the office. I quickly walked into class and took my seat getting ready to take notes like every other nerd. And thats how my day began.

*On the way home*
On my way to pick up my siblings from school I saw a figure walking down the side walk, I quickly realized it was Savanna and pulled over next to her. She must have heard a car because she stopped and looked at me.

"Do you need a ride?" I asked, trying to be friendly.

She started at me for a minute before nodding and went to get into the front seat.

"Do you mind if I pick up my siblings before I drop you off? Their school is only a couple blocks ahead."

"Of course. Go ahead and do whatever you need, I'm in no rush."  Savanna replied. I realized she probably had no idea who I was. I quickly turned to her.

"Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Nate. I got to school with you." I offered her my hand.

"Savanna Snow, and I know. Your one of the smartest kids in school." She shook my hand and then leaned against it starting out the window. There was an awkward silence as I drove down the street.

"So.. How long have you lived here?" I asked trying to make conversation.

"A couple months." Was the only reply she gave.

"Oh."

I saw the elementary school up ahead so I pulled off to the side and walked into the building to get my siblings out of their classes, surprisingly Savanna got out as well and followed me. I walked to the entrance and held the door open for her to go in first. She nodded her head in thanks and walked inside and waited for me to walk in front of her to show her the way. I quickly walked to my siblings class rooms and waited at the door for them, my three little sisters came running out the door and straight towards me.

"Bubba!" They all screamed and hugged me like they hadn't seen me in ages. But I hugged them back nonetheless. My three little sisters names were Angel, Faith, and Destiney. They were triplets and were always running around all happy. I loved them to death.

"How was school?" I asked once they settled down.

"Good." They all replied at once.

Someone cleared their throat and I looked up and saw Savanna standing there awkwardly.

"Girls this is Savanna, Savanna this is Angel," I pointed to Angel, "that is Faith," I pointed at Faith, " and that is Destiney. "I pointed to Destiney.

Immediately the girls started firing questions at me. " She's so pretty, what is she doing here, can she stay with us?"

"Girls." I said and they stopped talking," I'm just giving her a ride home."

They shook their heads and started heading out the door toward the truck. The girls got in the back seat and buckled up. Savanna and I got in the front seats and buckled up as well. I asked for her address and when she gave it to me I realized that she lived next to me.

Fuck. Me.

"Um... Savanna your my neighbor.." I told her.

"Seriously? That's awesome!" She said, but you could here that she didn't really care. It honestly hurt that she didn't even care. And I have no idea why it hurt.

I quickly headed to the house and we all got out of the truck and headed our separate ways.
