Michael's POV

Ames? Amy? Wake up!
I unbuckled her seatbelt and examined her injuries.
Her head was split open and blood was gushing out.
I took off her shirt and wrapped it around her skull.
I lay her propped up in the passenger seat, then I got out and saw what we hit.
I got back into the cab and put the truck in reverse  then I got back out and wedged my body between the tree and the truck's hood.
I pushed it backwards until it was a good distance from the tree itself.
I climbed back in and put it into drive.
I sped down the highway and slowed as I saw a town come into view.
I stopped at a gas station and refilled the tank.
Then I asked where the hospital was.
After getting directions I got back on the road.
When I pulled up at the E.R. I gently cradled my girl in my arms and approached the entry way.
When I walked in a nurse rushed over asking what happened.
I explained how we were in a wreck.
She had me place her in a room, then she came back with paperwork for me to fill out.
When I was done she took the papers from me and told me that the doctor will be in shortly.
Right when the doctor seen Ames her prepped her for emergency surgery.
I had failed to notice her area was bleeding.
I become fidgety, worrying about her.
Finally the doctor came to speak with me.
I'm sorry,  we couldn't save....
I slammed him against the wall.
My girl is dead?!
Sir please let me explain the doctor said in a shaky voice.
We lost the baby.
I sighed in relief as I moved away from him.
Your wife has a hairline fracture.
We need to keep her overnight to Monitor her.
Sorry about your child.
Sorry for attacking you, I thought my wife was..
No Sir she will be fine, she's just waking up if you want to go to her room.
I nodded my head and followed him to her room.
The doctor informed Ames about the lose of our child.
She seemed to have taken the news quite well.
Michael are you ok?
I nodded my head, I'm sorry I lost our child.
It's not your fault, at least I didn't lose you.
The doctor returned and told us he had to remove her uterus.
Come to find out she almost died due to the baby.
We were in that hospital for 11 days before it was safe to leave with her.
