"You can't do this my Queen!" Orin shouted. "I won't let you do this."

The queen gazed at Orin's eyes with pride. She knew that when it came to life and death situations, her faithful advisor Orin would rather die than let one hair of hers be harmed. But she knew she had to do this. For her kingdom and for her people.

"You can't stop me Orin and I don't expect you to follow that order because I know you Orin. You'd rather be the one to be sacrificed in my place. But I am the queen. This is my duty and mine alone." The queen stared at Orin's eyes with determination and love for her kingdom. "You will stay here and guard my kingdom while I am away. Be the king the kingdom needs when there will be no queen. "

Orin's eyes widened at the queens declaration and kneeled promptly with one fist to his chest and head down. "I will not fail you my queen. I will lead and serve the kingdom as if you are still here."

The queen gave a solemn nod and stood up from her throne. Orin also stood up from the floor and followed the queen to her quarters. She stopped in front of her full mirror and stared at her own reflection. Long golden locks framed her face and her bright green eyes was slightly dull from the stress lately. Her tall and slender body was covered by a beautiful red gown with gold trimmings. Her golden crown sat upon her hair with one giant green gem in the middle and is circled by tiny diamonds.

The queen sighed and Orin perked up. "I will miss my kingdom dearly."

"So don't go my queen!" Orin said. The queen glared while Orin shrugged as if to say 'I'm not apologising just because it's true'.

"And let my people die from the hands of these witches?" The queen seethed. "They made a deal where there would only be one casualty, which would only be me, and I agreed. I'll hand myself over and end this war before it gets even messier than it is. I have lost too many to them and I won't loose more because of my refusal to sacrifice myself for my people. You know this is hard for me too Orin, and I hate that these witches left me with no choice."

Orin nodded grimly as the queen started to take off her crown. "I will miss my kingdom dearly and I hope that my sacrifice will lead to something greater." The queen turned to Orin and Orin took the hint and left the queen's quarters.

The image blurred and it was gone. The man chuckled, "The queen will have the surprise of the lifetime when she will know what we plan to do with her."

The woman beside him laughed and swiped her hand over the old cauldron in front of them. "Let's start with the spell now. Goodness knows how long it will take for this particular spell we have for her."

Then both witch and warlock started to throw the important ingredients to the cauldron while muttering their names here and there. And when it was all and done, all that was left to complete the spell was a soul.

Not just anyone's soul but the queen's soul.
