Trials of friendship

That was when I lost her...

I am a grade school student at Machina elementary school at a town called Kratos. Im with my friends: Tina, Fiona, and Althea. we we're playing outside the school when the bell rang. Then I went to see my best friend Ashley in the next class, which is arts. I met up with the class in the garden and  brought out my papers for drawing. "Sakura  you are late again." Ashley yelled at me. "Oh nevermind we are partners so let's draw each others faces." she smiled so I sat down infront of her then tried to sketch that cute face of her. "Oooh you are sooo cute ehehe." she laughed, then when I looked at her drawing it was an animal, round headed, with a big floppy ears, and round nose with two big holes."What?! I'm not a pig!" I yelled at her. "Oh are you not? oh yes you are a human sorry I forgot." she smirked. I stood up and tried to kick her face but she dodge and threw a crampled paper in to my  face, then we started fighting again, it was a friendship thing and I always considered her as a rival, though she always wins. After that we went to my house for a sleep over, then we have the school festival wherein I joined and win the race, then I-

"Eek!" I felt a knuckle landed on my face, it was Ashley's gun, gun that shoots fists.

"Stop day dreaming you idiot, your in middle school now not an elementary student." she said. I wiped, "But nothing is wrong about daydreaming, don't you miss those days?" I asked her.

"Those days? nope they're not that memorable." she replied. Ashley you heartless girl how can you say that? She always say things like that.

"What is it? if you have nothing good to say then I'll be going now." she said and waved her hand.

"I heard someone will transfer in this class, do you know who he/she is?" Fiona asked me, someone will transfer? that's odd around here.

"Yes, Sakura I heard that he/she will go to a prestigious school ij the big city!" Althea said excitedly. "The city huh?" hrrmmm I don't know about this, did they won a lottery or something? apart from that-

"Guys! I saw someone went into the principals office and a black limousine  was parked infront of the school!" Tina yelled as she went inside the classroom excitedly. We went and eavesdrop in the window of the principal's office.

I saw a women talking to the principal, but I can't hear anything. wait I know who she is, Ashley's mom! but what is she doing here?

"Sorry principal I'm going now, I need to bid farewell to Ashley." Faint voice from inside. could it be? Then a thing  hit my foot. It was a mechanical turtle with a letter written in it. I opened it, 

"Sakura I didn't told you earlier but I am transferring to a school in the big city, I'll send letters everytime so don't worry. -Ashley." that's all what is written. I stood up and run through the gates.

When I reached  the gate I saw Ashley walking into the limou I jumped and tried to kick her. "Ashleeeey you demon girl!!!" I shouted but she turn around with a big swatter and hit me. I landed in the ground couldn't help but to cry. "What is the meaning of this?!" I asked crying. 

"Idiot, didn't I told you to stop crying like this? it makes your face 30% uglier." she told me, after that I wiped my face and forced my self to stoo crying. She picked up the turtle she invented and handed into me. "Hold on into this, remember we will see each other again, I cannot let you cry like this." she held my cheek and wiped my tears with her thumb. "Miss Imai, you should get going." a man in black suit said. "Untill then." she turned her back and I followed her in the limou window. she didn't looked back to me and the car is gone. I started to cry again, the fact the she is going away.

I went back home reminiscing our good times thinking those times ended. I remember a scene, it's winter I asked her who is her best friend she said "Myself" then I asked her who is her 2nd best friend then she said "myself", I asked "3rd?" she answered "myself".

When I got home I sat beside grandpa and he looked at me. "Sakura you have problems eh?" he asked me, I explained to him everything. "Is that so? cheer up! everything happens for a reason here come excersise with me! keep your spirit up! one! two! three!-" 

It will just be useless if I joined him *sigh* I just went back to my room still thinking of Ashley. 

As seasons passed "I need you, I need you, I need you!" 

One day I sat beside grandpa. "It's been six months eh?" he asked. "Yeah..." I sighed. "I missed her so much." 

"Oh just so you know  I received a letter addressed to you Sakura." granpa told me, my eyes grew bigger when I saw it and snatched it out of grandpa's hand and went to the hills below the cherry blossom tree. "Sakura I went to Esper academy in the city of Tatsumi, how's studying? look at the back of the letter, the billboard outside of my school looks exactly like you. -Ashley." That's all what is in it, I flipped the letter and saw the billboard she was talking about, a picture of a monkey holding a banana.

I took a deep breath, " ASHLEEEY!! YOU HEARTLESS WITCH!!!" my voice echoed in the distance, after all this months I only received one letter and she said she will send letterS with "S" *sigh* 

That same day I went to school of course now I am in middle school.  I sat gloomily and sat my head in my desk. I heard Tina, Althea, and Fiona talking behind me.

"I heard Ashley went to the Esper academy." said Althea. That caught my attention so I sneaked beliw their desk.

"- and I heard Esper academy is for espers, which is a special people." Tina said. "I heard that Esper academy is like a prisonm" Fiona gossiped. What?! a prison?!

"Some said if you entered there you will be treated as an animal in the circus." What?! noooo! I'm starting to imagine things. Ashley jumping on a ring of fire... "Nooooooooo!" I screamed and stood up under the desk and startled the ladies.

"Uuuuhh Sakura were you listening?" Fiona asked. "I heard all of it." I answered and ran outside. I went home already and when I got to my room I saw the letter she gave me, Tatsumi, this billboard. I didn't hesitate and packed my things without thinking... I know I will see her again!  I wrote a letter for my grandpa and placed it beside him, he is snoring loudly, I don't want to wake him up and I know he won't let me go. But I really want to see Ashley.

I walked outside and run into the train station of the town. Luckily I catched the train going to Tatsumi and went inside and seated. the train started moving I am staring outside the train and I know nothing about the place where I will go. So I just waited. the train moved in an average speed throughout the night.

I woke up and we arrived at Tatsumi as they said it is a big city. I went down the train and walk arround the big city finding the billboard, I lost my way many times thinking about visiting my best friend gives me the energy to keep moving forward. I went to the city train which is very cramped. I saw the billboard in the card and went down to the next stop. I  found my way in front of the billboard. "This is it!" I murmured, I inspect around it and saw an area full of trees and a big expensive gates and walls . I went infront of it. I saw the logo starshape and yhe letter "E" at the middle of the star. below it I read the sign "Esper academy." This is it!
