Esper Academy

To the twilight forest

It is my second day at Esper academy.

Ashley and I walked together to school since we shared the same room last night.

Last night Ashley filled me with all the informations I need to know about this school, since I haven't discovered my ability my enrollment here is just temporary. Ashley said that if I haven't prove my ability in five days, then this is not the school for me, meaning I'm about to get kick-out.

She also said that the school has some areas which are banned for students depending on their level, she also said that monsters are true that's why we are forbidden to enter those areas.

We entered the classroom then Curly from yesterday and the other girl that seems to be her friend stepped infront of me. "Say, the nerve of you to comeback here, knowing you don't have any ability. Hazel you tell her." Curly said.

"We know about your situation, and you're here for five days and you need to prove yourself, you lost one day and that makes it four days left, if I were you I should have left yesterday." the other girl who is Hazel teased and pointed her pointer finger at me, before I know it I was outside the classroom, after figuring it out I realized that I was teleported.

"I know, and Mr. Narumi said that I have an ability, so I STAY!" I protested back.

I went back ti class and seated at the back with Justine and his other friend yesterday who broke in in the guest room.

"What is your ability?" Justine asked again.

"Look, you know I don't know, if I have then you'll see someday." I replied.

"Hmp! what an idiot." he whispered, but I didn't mind him, instead the girl with pink hair yesterday came to me. She was with another girl. "Hi Jasmine, goodmorning." I greeted her and she smiled.

"Goodmorning, how was your day yesterday? hustle?" she said and there is no denying it so I nodded.

"Hello Sakura, I am Anna, and I am friends with Jasmine since I came to this school. Nice to meet you." the light brown haired girl said. I greeted her back with a smile, that's when Jiro the bully from yesterday came closer to me.

"Hey I have a challenge for you." he said.

I made a serious face. "What is it?"

"You don't have an ability and you said Mr. Narumi knew, and we were thinking that you should discover it now." he said looking directly into my eyes.

"How?" I replied. "Go to the twilight forest and prove that you are an esper." he said.

What is the twilight forest?

"Jiro, we are not allowed to go there. It's dangerous." Jasmine protested. "We don't care what will happen to her, we just want her to prove herself." Curly interrupted with Hazel.

So the twilight forest is one of the dangerous places at the academy that Ashley mentioned last night.

"I accept your challenge!" I did not hesitated.

"You should think over this." Ashley butted in. "I need to prove myself, and I can do it, I just know. I will find my ability!" I said acting tough, but I am really nervous.

"Today is vacant, return back here after you prove yourself." Jiro said and walked away.

I went immediately outside the classroom building, with Ashley, Jasmine, and Anna following me.

"You can't be serious, twilight forest is very dangerous, it is located north from here." Anna tried to convince me not to go. " But I insisted and went to were it was.

The trees looked peacefull and as I went deeper and deeper the sun is disappearing. 

When I came to my senses I realized that Ashley, Anna, and Jasmine were following me.

"You guys..."

"We can't let your stupidity get you in trouble so we are here to accompany you." Ashley said

"Thankyou for accompanying me though." I replied and the three pf them smiled.

"Is it that late already?" I asked. everytime we moved forward the sky is getting dark. "Well it is the twilight forest." Jasmine replied.

We kept moving slowlyinside and the forest grew wider, strange noises can be heard, hours passed by and we did not encounter anything as we explore. and it got darker and darker. I saw Ashley took something on her mini pouch. It lighted the area. "Invention number 4, Dragon torch. just by pressing this button the mouth of the dragon will glow, and it can serve as a torch." Ashley explained.

"Wow, they didn't named your ability for nothing." I sighed. That's when I heard a growling noise.

"It came towards this path." Jasmine said. we stepped back as the rumbling noise are getting stronger. I saw a big bear with red eyes and a very sharp claws.

It roared and moved forward to attack.

"Aim!" ashley said as she tooked out her Idiot gun. She fired many times but did not affect the bear that much. I gathered my courage and step infront as I raise my hand, maybe something will come out of me but nothing happened.

"Look out!" Jasmine ran infront of me throwing something at the bear and Anna grabbed my hand and pulled me out. Something exploded with a hot surge.

It was still following the four of us and we dashed aimlessly through the center of the terrifying twilight forest. I didn't expect a monster will popped out of nowhere and attack me, I thought this thing can only exist in the fiction side, but now that I saw it I was really shocked. We continued to run.

"Guys! what are we gonna do if we were gonna get lost?!" Jasmine huffed as we run, escaping from the demonic bear. We hid behind a slope and catched our breaths.

"So what now? I told you this is a bad idea." Anna complained.

"Don't worry I have something here." Ashley brought out a bunny that looks real. "It is a mechanical bunny but if it moves it looks like a real bunny. So I need to bring 'him' here." Ashley said. the three of them grinned.

"What are you guys planning?" I asked while I'm still panting.

"Just wait." Ashley said.

What manners of witchcraft is she thinking again?
