It had been a good two years Since Kevin was Deployed. Conner missed him. He missed him very very much. When Kevin had come home that day and told him he had joined the army, He'd cried for hours. He didn't like that idea one bit. They'd argued about several times. Conner had constantly told Kevin it was a bad idea. But When Kevin turned 23, he decided he wanted to. He wanted to do something Incredible and that was definitely incredible.

And Now, Conner sat on their couch alone with with their Cat. The Cat's name was Mittens. Kevin had gotten it for Conner so he wouldn't be alone all the time. He'd suggested getting a watch dog. But Conner wanted a Cat. So that's what he got.

The redhead sat on that couch, Mittens in his lap, tapping his foot nervously on the floor. His anxiety was at an all time high. Kevin hadn't answered his letters, Calls, or messages for a good two months. And That.. That scared him. Chris swore he was fine. He swore as if he were certain of it. And James did too. But Conner couldn't help but think something bad had happened.

Every time he checked the mail, He looked at each of the countless pieces of paper, Hoping to see something... Anything... That would give him a clue to how Kevin was.

He sighed and got up, carrying the Cat with him. He walked to he and Kevin's bedroom, sitting the Cat down and grabbing his car keys and slipping on his shoes. He grabbed his phone and started out the door for the theater. As he walked toward his car, He thought about it a little... And decided he'd walk to the theater. It was opening night. His first big part on Broadway. And Kevin wasn't going to be there... He sighed quietly.
...

Walking in to the theater, He ran his fingers through his hair and headed back to his dressing room. Chris was in the show too. Conner had been nervous to audition while Kevin was gone, Just in case something happened. But Chris made him and did it with him. And Chris got Ensemble, Which he was cool with. James hung backstage all the time. So when Conner signed in and went striaght to his dressing room without talking to anyone, They both knew to follow him. He shut the door before they could say anything.

Chris knocked lightly on the door. "Conner...?" He quietly said, twisting the door handle a little. It was unlocked. Good. "Hey, Buddy can we come in?" James added, arm wrapped around Chris.

"Yeah." They heard him say. So they went in. Conner was sitting at the vanity like area, Attempting to do his stage makeup and hair, although he was way to emotional at the moment.

"Conner, He's fine. I promise he's fine." Chris said, shoving his hands in his pockets. Conner sighed and shook his head. "How do you know that, Chris? If he's not answering anyone, How do you know?"

"We just do." James said, grabbing his Boyfriends hand as the two of them exchanged looks. "Trust us, Conner." Chris smiled, Giving James' hand a gently squeeze.

Suddenly, Conner was in tears. He had been trying so hard not to cry and Now he was and he hated it, But he couldn't stop it. He couldn't not cry. Chris frowned and walked over to his Friend, sitting down in the other chair across the from him and Taking his hands. "Conner. Take a deep breath okay? Kevin is Fine. You are fine. Everything is gonna be fine. Okay?" He softly said, standing and pulling his friend with him. He hugged the taller man tightly. And Conner hugged back tight and sniffed quietly. "Okay."

James hugged them both, Making it a group hug. "Now get ready, Ginger." He said, Roughing Conner's hair. "You have a show to do and A cast to carry."

"Hey!" Chris said, Playfully swatting James arm. "Just kidding darling." James cooed sarcastically. "Come on, Jerk." Chris grabbed his boyfriend's hand and pulled him out of the room. When the door was shut, the director ran up to Chris. "He's here." She said.

"Good." Chris replied then turned to James. "You know what to do."

In his dressing room, Conner pulled himself together and got ready for the show, Kevin's words echoing in his mind. The day Kevin left, He had kissed Conner all over his face and said,

"You're going to go to one of those audition places, you are gonna sing and dance your ass off, and You are gonna be happy because you'll know you got it. And Then, You're gonna be the star of the biggest show ever in history and You are gonna be great. And I will be there Opening night, Cheering you on. And I'll have your favorite flowers and Your favorite candy and I'll ask for your autograph and a picture even though tons of other people around me will be asking for the same thing. And You'll tell me to wait until its my turn just like you did when you were in the ensemble of that one show and I'll pretend to be mad at you but really I won't be and You'll know I'm not mad, So you'll try to make me mad, and You'll get mad cause I'll just love every second of it."

If only that was true. Conner would kill to have that right now. With a heavy sigh Conner pulled his dressing room door open. James was standing there waiting for him. "Come on." He grabbed Conner's hand and began pulling him toward the stage. Conner could hear the audience talking amongst each other as the reached the stage. He was very confused. He still had fifteen minutes until places.

He looked out on Stage as Chris voice came over the speaker. "Hello! Hi, guys My name Is Chris Thomas! I'm in the ensemble of this show." He paused for a moment as the Crowd applauded. "Thank you." He smiled cheekily. "The show will be starting in about Fifteen minutes, But right now I wanna bring out our star, Conner McKinley."

James gave Conner a gentle shove. "Go one out there, Slugger." And Conner did. He was met with Applause as well and He smiled and waved a little at the audience. "Okay. So Conner here is a Good friend of mine. And We have something for him. Something pretty special. And Uh.. So I guess let's just do this." Chris held up a thumbs up sign and walked off stage. Conner was very confused.

Suddenly their were hands covering his eyes. "Guess who?" A soft voice said in his ear. Conner's heart nearly stopped. "Oh my god." He mumbled, turning around. There he was. His Kevin. Standing right there. Conner burst in to tears and jumped into his arms, wrapping his arms around Kevin's neck and His legs around his waist. The audience cheered as this happened.

Conner buried his face in Kevin's neck and just cried. He was so happy he could do anything else but Cry and hold on. "You're here." He mumbled, his voice muffled. Kevin was crying to. He held him tight. "I promised, Didn't I?" He whispered, kissing his Boyfriend's forehead. "And I have a question."

Kevin gently put Conner Down and smiled softly... Nervously. His was in his uniform. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a small blue box. When he got down on one knee, The audience literally erupted and Conner started to cry again. "Will you marry me?" Kevin asked, Looking up at Conner with tear filled eyes. "Of course I will, Kevin!" Conner cried as Kevin put the ring on his finger and standing up, Kissing him passionately.
"I love you so so so much." Kevin softly said, showering the shorter man's face in gentle kisses. "I love you too." Conner said. "But I also hate you because I now have to redo my make up and My face is all red."

That made them both laugh a little. "Can I have your autograph, Mr. McKinley?" Kevin whispered, smiling at his Fiance.

"I'm sorry sir you'll have to wait you're turn."
