Kenzie POV:
"Hey kenzie wake up." Mike said, I opened my eyes and yawned sitting up. "Get dress" mike said, I looked at him confused. "Why?" "Because we have school today" I nodded and got off the bed and gots my clothes and went to go get dress in the bathroom. (Time skip) once I was all dressed mike told me where the bus stop is and what bus we're going on. Once it was time to leave, we got up and walked out the door, our parents r at work today so...video games! We got to the bus stop and mike smiled at me, I smiled back.the school bus finally came, we got on the bus. Me and mike sat next to each other.something caught my eye I saw a boy, he was wearing a grey flat hat and had a blue hoodie on, I didn't see anything else before darkness cradle me to sleep. (Time skip to everyone off the bus except for mike, jack, and they bus driver.) All I could see was darkness and felt some shaking my shoulder, "kenzie wake up!" They sounded panicked. then heard some one scream "wake up!" My ears felt they were bleeding, . Then I felt someone's hand on my back and I woke up.
Jack POV:
I was just getting ready to get off of the bus when I turn around saw a kid one year older than me, shaking which I believed his sister to wake up. I walked over to them and looked at the girl then at her brother, I poked him to get his attention. He looked at and I asked in sign language "what happened?" "Idk she passed out and I tried to wake her up but I couldn't." He said in sign language. I looked back at the girl and saw that there was a little blood coming from her ear, I poke her shoulder and her brown eyes shot open. She yawned and looked at me and her brother like nothing happened. She wipe the blood off her ears, her brother looked at me and mouthed "thank you" I smiled and walked off the bus.
Kenzie POV:
I looked at mike and saw the boy I was staring at before I fell asleep, i wiped my ear. mike looked at the boy and mouthed something. The boy smiled and left....what happened? "R u ok, kenzie?" Mike asked I nodded, we got off the bus and walked to the building. I went to my first class and saw the door was shut. 'Uh no! I'm late!' I thought. I nervously walked to the door and knocked on it. A teacher opened the door,"hello. U must be mackenzie right?" She asked. I nodded, she smiled let me in. I walked and saw the whole class eyes on me, I froze."class this is mackenzie please make her feel welcome here." The teacher said. The teacher looked at me, "I'm Mrs. Catherine. Why don't you go sit next to Sean over there" she pointed to the boy that I saw on the bus. I nodded walked over to him and sat down next to him. He looked at me and waved, I waved back then did Something with his hand. I gave him a confused look. He sighed and wrote on a sheet of paper, 'hi I'm Sean but call me jack. I'm deaf so that why I was doing sign language.' It read. I wrote back
'Oh ok, I'm mackenzie. I'm not deaf but I'm shy.' I put. (M-mackenzie j- jack)
J- oh cool, I like your shirt! ^_^
M- thanks. I like your hoodie.
J- why thank you!
We laughed a bit and smiled at each other.
J- hey! Want to sit with me at lunch?
M- sure.
On cue the bell rang for lunch, jack grabbed the note book just in case and walked down to the cafeteria joking and laughing.
M- hey jack?
J- what?
M- want to be friends?
J- sure!
Me and jack high fived, "ow!" I said rubbing my hand.
J- omg! Mackenzie r u ok!?
M- yeah, it just stings.
J- oh sorry about that.
M- its fine, hey want to come over to my house today?
J- sure, where do u live?
M- ( insert address here!)
J- hey I live there two!
M- awesome!
We smiled at each. (Time skip to end of day!) Me and jack walked over to mike, "hi mike!" I said. "Hey kenzie!" Mike said smiling. He looked at jack and frowned. "What r u two doing?" He asked seriously. Then Jack did that hand thing again, mike nodded. "Ok I'll be keeping an eye on you two" he said. "Mike, we r just friends. You know I hate that kissing stuff" I told him. Jack eyes widen and wrote down in the note book quickly, j- what do u hate!? M- I don't like kissing stuff. J- oh. (Jack be thinking of something else! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) jk! XD) our parents picked us up and I told them about how jack is our neighbor and is coming over. They said ok and we when got home mike opened the door for me and jack. I ran up to my room and jumped on the bed.
