DISCLAIMER:ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO UNCLE RICK
Percy was exited to be going home. He was -at last-going to see his mom again. It seemed like a millennium had passed since she has hugged him goodbye on the cold winters day long ago. He would be missing Annabeth dearly but it was only for a weekend and since Tartarus they had almost never been apart. So this would be testing their relationship however Percy was positive everything would go fine. Though there was a small sinking feeling in his gut as he waved Annabeth goodbye from in the car as Argus began to drive away from camp half-blood.He put it aside and reminded himself it was only for a weekend and what could possibly go wrong.
As the car pulled up at his moms apartment block the car had barely stopped when jumped out the car grabbed his bag and waved a quick goodbye to Argus before sprinting up to the figure who was now also running towards him before enveloping him in a bone crushing hug.
"I missed you so much Percy" his mum said softly. Percy let out a light chuckle.
"I missed you too mom" he replied still in his mothers warm embrace.
His mom Sally Jackson was the best he thought she was always kind, patient and almost never raised her voice to him.
"Come on" she said "lets go upstairs" she said detangling her arms from his.
Percy gave her one of his puppy dog faces and opened his mouth to talk but his mom beat him too it.
"And yes Percy you can have blue cookies, I've made a fresh batch especially for you" she said smiling at her son, who now(if possible) had an even bigger grin on his face.As they were walking up the stairs that lead to their apartment Sally took the time to observe Percy.
She noticed that he was taller, tanner and more muscular since last time she had saw him.
"How's Paul" Percy asked breaking the silence
"He's fine honey. He's at work at the moment but he will be home soon and is exited to finally see you again" she replied smiling gently at him.
"We've both missed you lots" she said whilst opening the apartment door.
As Percy stepped in to the apartment a sense of belonging spread over him. It was almost exactly as it was when he had left. There was photos of him as a child and of his Moms and Pauls wedding on the walls. It was tidy and homely exactly the way he remembered it to be.
His mom then disappeared into the kitchen for a moment before coming back out with a tray of freshly baked blue cookies with her kind smile that reached her caring eyes still plastered on her face.
He then went and sat down on the small leather couch in the corner of the living room. She them sat down care fully beside him placing the tray of cookies gently on the coffee table.
"So tell me what you've been up to then Percy" she said.
"well" Percy said snatching a handful of cookies from the tray.
"you know the usual" he said stuffing a cookie in his mouth "saving the world and stuff"
This got him a chuckle from his mom. he then explained everything that had happened since she had last seen him.
A few hours later Paul returned home from work delighted to see Percy again. They then all talked late into the night.
After Percy was sent to bed on this mothers command his mind started to wonder.
He started to think about Annabeth, His Mom and Paul, and all his friends.
He went to sleep that night thinking about just how lucky he was.
