CHAPTER 1. PART 6.

*Now that they have the infirmary key, they head back to the second floor and head inside. They begin to look around the infirmary. They notice an anatomical diagram of the human body tacked to the wall. As they look closer, it seems as if someone painted over each it'd the organs with actual blood. They look inside the cabinet next to the diagram. Vast quantities of medicines and tonics are lined up on each of the shelves, along with a single bottle of rubbing alcohol.*

Cassie: (What did they need all of THESE for...?)

*They pick up a box of matches next to an old fashion space heater and decide to keep them, just in case. They walk over to the left and find a pair of beds.*

Cassie: Huh... Somehow I expected the beds to be a lot dustier.

Paris: They are surprisingly clean. That's good, though! Now you can finally rest your weary bones, Cassie.

Cassie: Yeah, I think I'm going to lie down for a bit.

*Cassie climbs into bed*

Paris: All tucked away in the corner like that?

Cassie: I've always preferred nooks and corners. They make me feel... safe, I guess.

Paris: Ahaha... I know just what you mean! I'm the exact same way!
I wonder if there's anything in here we could use to soothe that ankle of yours. Sit tight, Cassie, I'm gonna take a look.

Cassie: Okay... Thanks a bunch.

Paris: Don't thank me yet. I haven't done anything!

Cassie: *sigh*

*Cassie relaxes while Paris looks around the room.*

Paris: Ah, this will do nicely. I got me a makeshift splint and some bandages. That sprain's a goner! Now, hold still...

Cassie: Oh, man, you're a life-saver...

*Paris climbs up next to Cassie and gets to work.*

Paris: All right, you're wrapped up tight! How's that feel?

Cassie: Hmm, feels great. Paris... Thank you.

Paris: Heehee! You're very welcome. I've sprained my ankle pretty badly before too, so I know how you feel. I wish I had some ice or something to put in it, though...

Cassie: No worries, you've done more than enough already. ... Er, you're asleep now?! That's... fair enough, I guess...

Paris: Glad you agree! Hee hee hee! It's slumberland for me!

Cassie: You really are an oddball, you know that?

Paris: So, hey, Cassie?

Cassie: Hmm?

Paris: If we do find Despair... have you thought about what you want to do with him?

Cassie: ... Ehh?

Paris: Well, you know what they say! When two people are faced with... difficult situations... shall we say? ... It often leads to love, sweet love! You should well up your courage and confess your feelings to him! You get all girly with him in this creepy place, and you're cuteness factor'll grow three sizes in his eyes, I bet!

Cassie: *snork*
I swear, with you around, I almost feel like we're just... shootin' the breeze back at home, like nothing ever happened.

Paris: Ahahaha...

Cassie: Thanks for your... advice. I'll think about it.

Paris: Eheh. I hope we find him soon.

Cassie: Uh-huh.
