(Flashback from about 1 year ago)

I saw them.

I was just looking at fresh fruits for a smoothie cause I wanted to be all healthy and stuff. I could only afford like 3 things so I had to choose between bananas or blueberries. I love fruits and this was like one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make.

Seriously.

They were watching me from a distance at the supermarket. From the corner of my eye I could see the pair of two men. They seemed like normal weirdos on the street but, they looked at me like I was an alien from mars. One of them looked tough with a shaved head but outgrown beard. Tattoos of  skulls and a symbol of bloody arrows stabbed onto a dragon that was slithering across an anchor covered his buff arms. His clothing was all leather with ripped baggy jeans. I guess his facial features could be considered attractive but he wasn't my type and he was a little too old. The second man, on the other hand, was slightly scrawny. He had pale, vampire skin, looked about 15 and seemed free of tattoos and anything symboling a gang. He wore skinny jeans and a flannel shirt that looked a little long for his size. He seemed almost innocent. The scarier man mostly glared at me with sharp eyes and heavy breathing. The more innocent man, or boy, had a sappy look on his face. He looked sorry and hurt. Like a pig before it gets slaughtered. I assumed the scarier man was the boy's dad. He must have been abused as a child. After a little bit of staring at gala apples and pretending that I don't notice the man and the boy, the man tugged the boy off to the left behind a free sample stand and disappeared.  At that moment, it started pouring rain outside. Lightning struck and thunder beat like a drum. This was definitely a sign. A bad one. Nobody else at the supermarket noticed them. I never saw those two people again.
