       On September 1, Harry and I made our way through King's Cross Station. We each had a cart with our trunks along with our owls on top of them. We were getting starred at as we wondered around looking for Platform 9 and 3/4. When we told Uncle Vernon the platform, he just laughed in our face but once stopped once I glared at him. Dudley has been avoiding Harry and I, especially me since I was never afraid of him.
       Anyway Harry lead me towards a attendant since we had only ten minutes to find the platform and get on the train.
"Excuse me," Harry started," I was wondering if you could tell me where platform 9 3/4 is?" I could tell this is going to be bad since the attendant got a weird look on his face.
"Think you're funny do you," the attendant growled. I stopped listening since I heard a red-head women shouting about how it is always packed with muggles. I pulled Harry's sleeve trying to get his attention but he ignored me.
"Sorry about him! He has special needs and doesn't know what he is talking about," I said in my best apologetic voice. "C'mon Harry. I see Mum over there." I said while pointing towards the red headed women and her family. I then started moving my stuff towards her and stopped behind her family. I watched as the oldest boy took off running towards the wall. What is he doing he is going to crash! But just as he is going to hit the wall, he disappears!
"Your turn Fred," the mother said to one of the twins. Both of them were extremely cute if I do have to say.
"I'm not Fred," once of the twins said. " I'm George!"
"Honestly women you call yourself our mother," the two of them said together. By now I figured out that the one that said he was George is honestly actually Fred and that George was just going along with his brother to get a rise out of his mother. I could already tell I would like these twins.
"Oh sorry George. "
"Only kidding, I am Fred," and with that the boy was off. His twin was right behind him as they also disappeared into the wall. Just as the youngest boy was about to start his run, I interrupted.
         "Excuse me m'am. How- how do you do" pointing towards the wall. I said as my hair turned pink. I was slightly embarrassed for having to ask.
          "How do you get onto the platform?" I nodded." Don't worry it's Ron's first time too," I gave  a smile to the last red head boy still standing with his mother. "All you have to do is walk at platform between nine and ten. Best if you are nervous to do it in a run."
        "Okay thanks," I took off and ran into the barrier but not before I heard the girl wish Harry good luck. I closed my eyes bracing for the impact but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful scarlet train. I moved out f the way just in time since Harry came flying through.
        "Ready," I asked.
        "Yeah," Harry breathed out. We made our way towards the train. I tried to get my trunk up on the train but it was heavy. I tried for about 5 minutes. Harry was having trouble with his own. Suddenly I felt a warm presence on my back, and a inviting smell. Two strong arms suddenly came from behind me and helped lift my trunk up on the train. I slowly turned around and was surprised to see one of the twins from earlier standing in front of me. I had to crane my neck up since he was about 6 feet and I was only about 5'2.
"Thanks," I whispered. My hair was a bright bubble gum pink color and my cheeks I could tell were a bright red.
"No problem, love," he replied. "I'm George, George Weasley."
"Maggie Potter," I slyly introduced.
"Are you really," he exclaimed.
"Yeah," I said as I moved my bangs a little to show him my scar.
"Cool." Suddenly I heard a cough. I tuned my head and saw my brother standing there. I immediately felt my hair turn even brighter and I could feel George move back.
"Hi Harry," I said.
"Hey who is this," he responded while nodding towards George.
"Oh Harry this is George Weasley, his mom was the one that helped us. George this is my brother, Harry."
"Hey mate," George said as he extended his hand for Harry to shake, which Harry did.
"Well thanks," I awkwardly said.
            "No problem. I hope you make Gryffindor!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            "He is way too old Maggie," Harry said as we finally found an empty compartment.
             "What are you talking about," I said trying to avoid the topic.
             "You know what I am talking about. George!"
             "He was just being nice, Harry! He was helping me put my trunk on the train, not asking me to marry him," I said just as the compartment door slide open.
           "I was wondering if I could sit here. Everywhere else is full," the red head from the platform, Ron I think, asked. There are a lot of red heads at Hogwarts.
           "Sure," Harry and I happily said since we really needed to make some friends.
            "I'm Ron by the way. Ron Weasley."
            "Harry P-"
            "And I'm Margaret but unless you want to die I go by Maggie. Oh and Potter is our last name."
            "Are you really," he said while gaping at our foreheads.
            "Funny your brother Said the same thing and yes we are," I said as I moved my bangs for the second time in a very short period of time.
            "Which one I have 5 of them," Ron said glumly.
            "That's so cool and George."
"He is is the middle. My oldest brother is Bill, he works with Gringotts. Then there is Charlie, he works with Dragons in Romania. Both of them have already left. Them this Percy, he is in his fifth year and is a Perfect. After him is Fred and George. They're in their 3rd year. Then me and the youngest and only girl is Ginny. She'll becoming next year."
"Cool. It's just Harry and me and then our awful aunt and uncle and a turd of a cousin."
The three of us got along greatly. Ron was explaining all about Quidditch and the wizarding world while we explained the muggle world. I also told him about me being a Metamorphmagus.
"Bloody hell that's cool."
"Thanks," I said as my hair turned pink.
"Anything from the trolley dears," this kind old women asked as she pushed a cart full of candy.
"I'm good," Ron said as he held up a bag of sandwiches. Harry and I looked at each other before nodding.
"We'll take the lot," Harry said as he pulled out his money.
"Wow," Ron said as he saw all the money Harry was holding. Harry paid for the food and put it all on the seat next to me. I was on one side with the candy while Harry and Ron were on the other. I grabbed a licorice wand and started eating it. Harry grabbed a chocolate frog.
"It isn't a real frog is it," Harry asked.
"No just a spell out on it. But it is really the cards you care about. I got about 600 meself by I am still missing a few. Harry quickly open the package only to have the chocolate animal jump out. He watched in amazement as it did so.
"Oh that's rotten luck. They only have one good jump in them."
"Hey look! I have Dumbledore," Harry exclaimed. I quickly went over and looked at the card. Then all of a sudden he vanished.
"He's gone," I exclaimed.
"You can't expect him to stay all day now can you, Maggie?"
"I guess not," I said rather glumly. Ron then went on and explained about in the wizardry world pictures moved.
"That's so cool," I cried. I suddenly looked down at Ron's rat, Scabbers.
"Oh don't mind him. He's a bit pathetic," Ron said sadly. I nodded my head a little. "Want me to turn him yellow? George taught me a spell."
        "Yes please," I excitedly said. My hair turned bright yellow.
        Ron cleared his throat and pulled out his wand but before he could say the incantation, a girl opened the door.
"Have any of you seen a toad, a boy Neville lost his?"
"No."
"Nope. Sorry."
"Oh your doing magic. Let's see than," the girl said.
"Okay. Sunshine daisies, butter mellow. Turn this stupid fat rat yellow," the only thing that happened was the candy box popped off of his head.
"I'm not sure that's a real spell. I myself have only tried simple ones. For example: oculus repairs." Suddenly Harry's glasses were fixed.
"I'm Hermione Granger." The girl continued but before anyone of us could respond,"holy crickets I know who you are! You're Maggie and Harry Potter! I have read all about you two! And you are," she suddenly said turning towards Ron.
"Ron Wesley," he said with his mouth full.
"Pleasure. Now you best be changing into your robes I should expect we should be arriving soon. Goodbye." And with that Hermione was gone.
"I'm going to change like she said. Be back soon," I said as I grabbed my clothes from my trunk. I exited the compartment only to end up on the floor.
"Umph," someone said from underneath me. I quickly blushed and saw that the hair the was creating a curtain around the two of us ad turned pink. I got off of the boy quickly and started to apologize.
"I'm so sorry George. I was just going to change."
"Hey! Hey! No problem. The bathrooms are that way," he pointed to the opposite direction I had started.
"Oh thanks," I said as I turned to leave," oh and nice spell you taught Ron," with a wink towards him and I was off to the bathroom. Once there I hastily threw on my robes and made sure my hair was okay before I made my way back to the boys. By the time I got back, the two of them were dressed. Soon the train lurched to a stop as we made our way off of it.
"Firs' years this way! Firs' years," I heard Hagrid bellow. I quickly sprinted up to him with Harry and Rom trailing just behind me.
"Hello Hagrid," I greeted happily.
"'Ello Maggie. Harry and who are you," Hagrid asked cheerfully.
"Ron Weasley."
"Ah yes yer brudder Charlie would always help me with de animals. An' I'm always chasin' after your twin brudders keeping them away from de forest." We chatted with Hagrid as we waited for all of the first years to come over to us. Once everyone was here we made our way to the boats. Our boat was me, Ron, Harry, and this boy Seamus. Just as we turned a corner I saw a beautiful castle.
"Welcome ter Hogwarts," Hagrid called out to all of the boats of first years. Once the boats were docked we all climbed out and made our way into the beautiful castle. We stopped on the grand staircase in front of two huge oak doors and a serious looking woman.
"Thank you Hagrid. Hello, I am Professor McGonagall. Welcome to Hogwarts. Now there are four houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Your house will be your family. You gain points for your triumphs and lose them for misbehaving. I am going to make sure everything is prepared. I will be right back," McGonagall said before she walked away.
        "So it's true; Harry and Maggie Potter are at Hogwarts," a blonde, greasy haired boy spoked as he came and stood in front of Harry, Ron and me. This is Crabbe and Goyle," he nodded towards the buffoons standing behind him. They were at least 200 hundred pounds and were extremely tall. They looked like they would be friends with Dudley." And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." Ron and I snorted when we heard the boys name. Malfoy glared at Ron and snidely said," Red hair and hand-me down robes, you must be a Weasley." My hair turned into the flaming red as I glared at the boy.
        "Blonde hair, snide remarks, and is a Malfoy, you must be an arsehole," I said with a smirk and crossed my arms over my chest. I heard laughter erupt from everyone except Malfoy and his goons. Malfoy hardened his glare at me while I smirked at him and gave a little wave of my fingers.
       "You'll see Potter that some wizardry families are better than others," Malfoy said with an air of arrogance. I really want to punch that boy.
       "Hope your not talking about yourself," I said.
       "Thanks but I think we can sort it out ourselves," Harry remarked. McGonagall tapped Malfoy on the shoulder. She threw my a small smile like she had heard what I said.
"We are ready for you." And with that the doors were opened and we enter a great hall. There were five tables. Four of them went vertically down the hall while the fifth was horizontally placed at the end of the hall. The table on the far left had green and silver ties. The one in the middle but to the left was in blue and silver.
The one on the right but in the middle had maroon and gold ties. The one on the far right had yellow and black. I spotted the Weasley twins at the table with maroon and gold. That must be Gryffindor. I looked up and saw that the roof showed the night sky. My hair turned from the fiery red to the bright yellow.
I heard whispers about me bing a Metamorphmagus, but ignored them. Suddenly Hermione popped up next to me.
"The roof is only bewitched to look like the sky. I read all about it in Hogwarts: A History."
"Cool " I kinda brushed her off and caught up to Ron and Harry. Once we reached the end of the tables we all lined up in front of the staff's table and looked at hat that was siting on a three legged stool. All of a sudden it started to sing:
"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry,
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin,
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folk use any means,
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!"
         Once the hat finished its song everyone bursted into applause.
        "When I call your name, please come forward," McGonagall said. "Hannah Abott." A blonde girl made her way up to the steps and sat on the stool. The hat was placed on her head for not even a second before it called out Hufflepuff. I sighed as I saw that it was going in alphabetical order so I will be towards the end. I kinda zoned out until Hermione's name was called. She got sorted into Gryffindor. And then I zoned right back out.
      "Harry Potter!" I snapped my head towards my brother as he slowly made his way up to the stool. I could hear the mummer of the students. The hat was placed on his head. I tried to listen to what the hat was saying but I was starting to get nervous  for my own sorting. Where will I end up? As long it isn't in Slytherin with that asshole that is Malfoy, I'll be okay.
        "Better be Gryffindor!" The maroon and yellow table erupted into cheers and I could hear Fred and George chanting "We got a Potter! We got a Potter!"
         "Margaret Potter," the whispers were much louder since Harry already was placed in a house and they were waiting to see if Gryffindor got both Potters or only one. I was extremely nervous and saw that my hair had turn to a pure white. The whispers increased as they realized I was the Metamorphmagus.
I quickly sat on the stool and felt the hat being placed on my head.
"Ahh you have a much better mind than your brothers," the hat said which cause me and the whole great hall to laugh. "Quick with your tongue you are. Much like both your mother and father. You have your mothers kindness, well to at least the people you like," that comment made everyone laugh again," and her intelligence while you seem to have your fathers knack of getting in trouble and being a smart mouth. But where to put you! You are much too witty and sometimes cruel to be in Hufflepuff, that's for sure. Though you are very smart and know a lot of things, you don't like to be over bearing with it and like to keep that you are very smart to yourself so that rules out Ravenclaw. Now where to put you? Slytherin or Gryffindor?!"
"If you put me with that bloody git Malfoy, I will burn you," I said aloud. Malfoy went red with anger while the rest of the school chuckled.
"Fine then... Gryffindor!!!!"
"We got both Potters! We got both Potters," Fred and George screamed as I made my way over to the table. Multiple people were shaking my hand and congratulating me. I knew my hair was yellow with how happy I was. I took a seat next to George while Fred was formally introduced to me along with their friend, Lee Jordan.
The sorting ended with this kid named Blaise Zabini going to Slytherin. In all Gryffindor got 9 new students: 5 boys and 4 girls. The boys were Harry, Ron, Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnegan, and Dean Thomas. The girls were me, Hermione, Lavender Brown, and Parvarti Patil.
       "Congratulations to all of the new students being sorted. Before we begin the feast I would like to make some reminders. Firstly the Forbidden Forest  is off limits to all students," Dumbledore said as looked directly at the Wesley twins when he said the last part. "Also please note that the third floor corridor is off limits to anyone who does not wish to die the most painful death. That is all. Dig in!"
        Suddenly all kinds of foods appeared in front of me. I immediately grabbed some bangers and mash along with shepherds pie. I ate a good helping of both which surprised a lot of people.
        "What I enjoy my food," I said as I took a roll and sopped up the extra gravy. When deserts camel I ate a lot of chocolate things and was stuffed luckily so since a ghost popped his head into the middle of the pudding causing me to embarrassingly jump into George's arms.
       "Good evening and welcome to Hogwarts," the ghost introduced.
       "I know who you are," Ron exclaimed. "You're Nearly Headless Nick."
       "I prefer Sir Nicholas."
        "How can you be nearly headless," Hermione asked.
         "Like this," he said as he pulled his head to one side. The only thing that was keeping his head attached to his body was a small piece of skin. While all of the other first years made noises of disgust, I said, " Wicked."
        "Looky,  Fred. I think we got anew little apprentice," George said to his twin.
        "Really, George," Fred responded while they both looked at me.
         "What," I asked as I was still looking at Sir Nicholas' head hanging off his shoulder.
         "How would you like to join us in our pranking," George started.
         "Yeah. We don't offer it to just anyone," Fred continued.
         "But we think you're special," they concluded together.
         "Sure and I know who our first victim should be," I said as I glared towards the slimy little git. The rest of the feast and even as we were lead back to the common room, which we got to by giving a password to a lady in a pink dress, we talked about the prank.
I have a feeling that I am going to like Hogwarts and met and enjoy a lot of people. Especially the Weasley family!
