Hi!

Thank you for clicking on this story, it means a lot to me.

This story came into my mind when I was on a sailing trip. When we were at one of the ports, I was walking back from the bathrooms when I noticed that the ground was covered in mayflies. It was like snow was on the ground, but instead of snow, there were mayflies, which are little bugs.

Now, mayflies only live for one day, give or take a few hours. One of my friends casually brought up the idea that the idea of only living for one day would be a great premise for a book. Naturally, I freaked out and began writing an outline and story ideas right away, but none of them seemed to click.

Finally, I came up with the perfect way to make the story interesting and still have the aspect of the mayfly's amazing life cycle. This story is classified as a mystery, and there are several layers to the story. I'm so excited to share this with the world, and I hope you enjoy it!

If you enjoy it, I'd love for you to vote! Also, any feedback you might have for the story would be lovely, so please do let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for reading this rambly Author's Note, and onto the story!
