Chapter 4-- Demon Painting
At my art class, there was this portrait of a woman. This was unusual, for my art teacher only concentrated on art projects. And trust me, that painting was really, really creepy. "Do ya like my painting?" My art teacher asked. "I bought it from a pawn shop for fifty bucks." She stated. "Wow. Fifty bucks must be really cheap for a painting like that." I complimented. "Well, take a good look at it!!" Hailee pointed out. "The paint is falling off, you can see the mistakes that the artist covered up, and the paint is not good quality." Hailee said. "No wonder it's so cheap," I said. But something other than what the price was seeming to bother me. Those dead eyes were looking straight at me. That smile looked evil in some way. Something about the portrait was making me feel uneasy. "Umm.. Who was the artist of the painting? I asked. "Oh! Well some old, creepy man sold it to me. I'll tell you the story." My art teacher said.
How she got that painting
------------------------------------------
I was shopping at the supermarket to find some stuff to decorate my classroom. I was looking for some good looking, cheap pieces of art. I tried several stores, but, the only shop I had left was the pawn shop. I asked the clerk behind the cash register if they had any unique pieces of art. The clerk showed me around the store, and she showed me some Celtic designs, 3D shapes, and some anime, which I didn't really care for. Nothing in that pawn shop really interested me. When I went outside, I came across an old man, who was selling paintings. The only one I really liked was the portrait of the smiling woman. "Which one do you want?" He asked. "Well, I want the one with the lady on it." I replied. "You'll have to take it to the monks after you buy it." He said. "I'll take it!!!" I said. "But... If you don't take it to the monks then, you will die." The old man warned. I didn't believe in ghosts or demons, so I payed him fifty bucks, and put the portrait in my trunk. Then I drove home.

"Ok something is really weird about that painting." I said. "Maybe you just watched too much horror movies last night." Hailee said. After class, my art teacher let me clean up the classroom, since it was messy. "Allene, I have to go to the office for a moment. Would ya mind stayin' alone in the classroom for a bit?" My art teacher asked. "Ok. I'll manage." I replied. When my art teacher left, I glanced at the painting. The woman kept smiling, but in a grim, creepy, evil way. Every single time I looked at it the woman in the painting, she seemed to smile even more. The fifth time I looked at her, she had a grim, creepy grin on her face. I thought to myself, she should take it to the monks because this painting is as creepy as shit! I thought. No sooner when that thought crossed my mind, the classroom turned pitch black, even though it was just 2:59 PM. But I saw two glowing red eyes, where the painting was. It was a good thing I had my flashlight with me, because like I said, it was pitch black in the classroom. I pointed my flashlight towards the painting. Instead of the creepy, smiling woman, it was a terrifying, bone chilling, demon. It had sharp teeth, red eyes, sharp, pointed claws, and blue, wrinkled, skin. I gasped with shock and horror. Then the demon seemed to exit the painting. I panted frantically, and found something I could use as a weapon. It was a good thing I found a sling shot, and a lot of sharp pencils. I fought against the demon for what seemed like five hours. I took out my Christian bracelet I got from my mother, and shoved it into the demon's face the demon seemed to disappear and the classroom was no longer pitch black. I cleaned up all the pencils, then the art teacher came in. I was so relieved that it was over. The art teacher finally learned the history of the painting, and took it to the monks. The demon of the painting was over, but the hauntings weren't over yet.
