We've all read the Bible (or at least most of us have), we've ventured into Genesis, when God created the world. We've read the account of how God made man and woman, and gave them authority over all creation. We've had that disgusted look on our faces when Eve was tempted by the snake to eat the fruit of the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. We've all read the part where they were banished from Eden, forced to toil for daily survival. And I'm sure you've read the story of Cain and Abel, of how a jealous Cain mercilessly murders his brother Abel. But how have you ever wondered as to what happened to Cain after that event?

NOTE: Everything written after this part are merely products of the author's imagination and is not found anywhere in the Bible.

"Cruel! You are nothing but a cruel God!" Cain shouted at the sky, but he heard no response. "You rejected my offering, You cursed me. You favored Abel more. Mother and father loved him more. I am the eldest, I deserve what he got!"

Cain kept cursing and screaming as he wandered aimlessly, his clothes tattered, his body weak. He could've been an easy prey for wild animals, but thanks to the cursed mark God had put on him, we was "untouchable".

Every fruit he touched rotted. No animal dared to go near him. Starving and desperate, Cain cried out, "I shall get revenge on You!" He pointed to the sky, but still there was no response. Or at least he thought.

The earth shook, cracked open and spew hot magma. Temperature quickly rose, burning trees and any other vegetation in the area. Water boiled and quickly evaporated into steam, which foged Cain's vision. Suddenly, a maniacal laugh broke out.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Cain cried out.

The fog cleared, revealing a silhouette of an inhumane figure.

"Show yourself!" Cain repeated.

"I only show myself to the banished and the outcasts," the voice paused. "Oh wait, you do qualify."

The figure stepped out of the shadows, unveiling a twisted image-- horns of a ram, wings of a bat, claws as sharp as talons, scarlet-colored skin, a mouth that had snake-like fangs, and eyes that peered into your soul.

"W-Who are you?" Cain stuttered in fear.

The creature leaned towards him, "Deceiver, Tempter, Fallen. I have many names, but I prefer to be called--"

"Lucifer!" Cain exclaimed.

"Correction, it's Satan now." Satan smiled, his fangs bared. His breath smelled like freshly boiled snake venom. "Lord of darkness, destroyer of creation."

"What do you want from me?" Cain asked.

"Ohoho, I believe it's you who needs something from me." Satan chimed in.

"Go away, I don't need anything from you nor do I need your presence!" Cain gathered all the strength he had just to scream straight into Satan's face.

"You reek of . . . sin." Satan smirked. "But you do need something from me, my friend."

"I am no friend of a demon!" Cain bellowed.

"Demon?" Satan felt insulted. "I am greater than demons, I am their king!" Satan raised his arms, showing his authority over evil beings. Apparently, it was synonymous to reeking body odor.

Satan cleared his throat. "Now, back to the point. You said you wanted revenge on God."

"What is it to you?" Cain stated.

"What is it to me? You're asking me, the antithesis of the Big Man Up There, about what it is to me for one of his creations to seek revenge on Him?" Satan's soul-piercing eyes widened.

Cain was baffled. He clearly wasn't getting what he just heard.

Satan cackled."To me, that it euphoria!" He looked at Cain, who was tilting his head. "Oh right, the sin was the only thing that passed on to you.Poor creature."

He grabbed Cain's tattered shirt. "I'll help you with your revenge."

"How?" Cain asked innocently.

"Simple. In exchange for your soul, I will grant you power over the darkness." Satan smiled.

"No, that is not possible." Cain firmly responded

"Okay. How about I chip in immortality with it?"

"But you cannot kill me."

"Blah blah, the curse mark? Pffft. I've had enough curses already. Maybe that curse wouldn't even mean a thing to me." Satan stared at Cain. "So, do we have a deal?"

"Deal?" Cain questioned.

Satan smirked. "A covenant. A pact. A promise."

"Okay, deal." Cain responded.

Satan closed his eyes and exhaled red fume that went straight into Cain's nostrils. He wrapped his palm on Cain's face and extracted his soul from him.

"That was . . . unexpectedly delicious." Satan remarked, as if tasting Cain's soul.

"What will happen now? Is this enough for me to get revenge on God?" Cain was curious.

"Oh, trust me. It is more than enough. Even the pact alone was a stab to His heart." Satan laughed. "I shall leave now. Until we meet again, my friend." Mist formed and veiled the demon lord. Satan disappeared, leaving only the ruins of God's creation and a "newborn" Cain.

Suddenly, the sky darkened. Thunder screamed and lightning flashed, and rain fell to the ground.

Cain grinned as he looked up to the sky. "I like it when You respond this way. This is only the beginning."

P.S.: I am a Christian, and no, I am not destroying your belief. Sometimes, when I read the Bible, my creative self just pops out of my head which leads me to create "spiritual fan fictions" of Bible stories.
