E-Class

Today, October 1st, is a fine weather in New York. Kaitlyn is mesmerized by the beam of sunlight passing through her window glass beside her bed. Just like any other person on this planet, she hates waking up. She hates it more than eating overcooked eggs at breakfast. She hates it more than stepping into a poop. But she has no choice, she rubs her eyes a couple of times and remove her blanket, and lamely sit on her bed. She goes straight into her bathroom, undress everything, making her naked. Open her shower and slowly makes her wet. She squeaks out of the coldness and abide by it. After that She opens her closet, got her floral dress and her pastel-colored shoes. She's 18, and in her last year in senior high. But her school is not just an ordinary school.

Going downstairs is pretty hard for Kaitlyn because the stairs are just really steep. She notices her parents stop laughing when she came in the kitchen. That makes her feel down. Since that day, they never talk to Kaitlyn. She's like the wind inside their house.

"Mom, Dad, I got to go."

She has no response from them.

"I'll make sure. I'll show you I deserve your attention. I'll get back to Class-A, you'll see." I walk out from the kitchen and go straight outside. That's the rule in her school. Her school consists of 4 sections per year, ranked from Class-A to Class-D and your performance every year is the basis for your class. But stepping on the last year, which is the 12th grade, this year, the head added another section which will be called Class-E. They are the students who did not meet the given standards for 12th grade. Only 20 students are accommodated in the said section. 4 quarters will be given to Class E, and every quarter, they will have an examination. Those who pass on the given exam will be asked if they want to go to the higher section or stay. Once a student wanted to go to the higher section, a new student will replace his or her spot. Given that the campus is more or less 10 million worth, the Class-E will not attend from the classroom in the campus, instead they will be having class on the top of the hill beside the campus, Harappa Hill. An old, abandoned school, which contains low facilities and maintenance.

Nobody wanted to be in that class. Everyone thinks low of you, if you are in the E-Class. That's why almost 4,000 students from the Liam Academy makes sure they pass the exam. And this year, Kaitlyn is the newest transfer in Class-E.
