The picture above or to the side is Lilly Mora, by the way.
"I What are you doing Blake?" Lilly asked, "and where are we?"
"So many questions," he flicked his brown almond eyes over to his sister before continuing, "obviously, I'm trying to grab that backpack, but I'm too short to grab it, can you reach it?" He asked hopefully. Blake was 15 at the time, and was only a few inches shorter than his sister of seventeen, Lilly.
She tried reaching up as far as she could, but still couldn't reach the backpack.
"Well, I found a backpack in the bush next to me, and I found a tarp in it. So I guess we'll have a shelter for tonight." She placed the tarp I between two trees, wedging the corners between branches. Lilly and Blake, who had climbed the tree to get his backpack, looked at their tent, which now has a large wool blanket too.
"It's beautiful, Lilly, but the sun is starting to set and we don't have any food." Blake interrupted the peace.
"Okay, um, here." She pointed to the bush she found the tarp in. "It's a blueberry bush. It's small, but it'll have to do." They ate a couple, and picked several small handfuls for later. "So we don't starve," she explained.
Blake crawled under the tarp and under his blanket. When she joined him, Lilly positioned herself so she could watch the sunrise tomorrow.
"Night, Lil," Blake whispered as he fell asleep.
"Goodnight," his sister replied.
Sorry it sucks, I didn't really know what to do. I'll show what the rest of the characters look like as the book goes on. Byeee! ✌🏻️
