It's the first day of college and I'm already late.
I run down the stairs and grab an apple.
''You don't gave to run sweetie'' my dad says.
''I'm already late dad''
''Do you want me to drive you?''
''No, Jack is driving me''
''Okay bye honey''
''Bye dad I say and give him a quick kiss on the cheek''
My mom died when I was 7. She died in a car crash. It's been hard but I'm over it now.
As I run through the door Jack is already waiting in the car outside. We have been bestfriends since daycare. He has  always been by my side, even when my mom died. I don't have many girl friends but they all moved to another city a couple years ago.
''Finally'' Jack says as I get into his car.
''I'm so sorry''
''It's okay I'm just kidding''
''College huh?''
''Oh god it went so fast''

Jack parks his car and we get out.
''I didn't bring anything with me'' I say.
''It's our first day we move in tomorrow''
I have to admit, I'm pretty nervous. New faces, new school new everything. We get in. I look on the paper I've got and it says room 406.
''Room 406'' I say to Jack.
''I think it's this way'' He says pointing left. We find the room and walk inside. Luckily, we're the first one. I take a seat in the front and so does Jack next to me. 10 minutes later more and more students walk in. Finally the teacher comes in.
''Godmorning students, I'm Mr. Smith''
''Morning'' some students mumble.
''I'm going to give you some pappers about tomorrow and you're free to go home.''
Mr. Smith gives us our pappers and everyone goes. Wow.
''Wasn't so bad huh?''
''No'' I respond to Jack.
We're moving in tomorrow and I'm sad to leave my dad alone. But it's only 40 minutes away.
''I'm sad to leave my dad alone''
''He's going to be fine Sam''
''Yeah''
