Main quote: "I did what I needed to do. Forgive me...because in my deception, I never realized I fell for my own trap...to have loved you, Rafael." (Sarah's confession of her sins)

The greatest fault any man could commit is the deception of the heart and the ruin of trust.

"Illustrio!" A man came over. It was Lord Cornelius. They shook hands. Good friends.

"How goes the meeting?" Illustrio says as he faces him.

"Not good. I fear those Normans will attack us at any time and take claim of the French halves of our territory. Damn. They have the political advantage there..."

"The people also trust them more than our King."

"So you also believe he was the one who killed Venetio?"

"I may not have seen it but I know a man like that would never cough up blood in front of the King. It all seems too much of a coincidence. I am even having doubts about our King."

"Still, despite his iron rod of a will, he would never kill his own wife."

"The problem is...we do not know what happened here. Only he does and who are we to trust a man who clearly killed another by his own hand? Besides, he is hiding something big."

The Castle was silent. "Terra?"

"What is the matter, Rafael? Too stunned to see me you cannot speak?"

"LOOK OUT!" Rafael pushes Terra off and both fall down, with Rafael on top of the flustered Terra, who was saved from... "What the heck is a spear doing here?" Bernard takes the weapon out of the floor. Rafael realizes something important...

"WHAT IN THE-" Bernard also turned pink. "Brother, did you..."

Terra touched her bosom...she did feel something a while back and reacted in a similar fashion. "YOU PERVERT!" She slapped him out of shyness, causing him to lie on the floor.

"Lord, why do I have to endure this?" He immediately gets up though and wipes off the bruise on his left cheek. He was hit by two women so far and the pain still stings.

"What are you doing here, Terra? Your father was supposed to wait for you here."

"How did you get into the Castle, Bernard? I thought..."

"No more tricks, Terra..." Rafael begins to be frank with her, "Bernard is an idiot. We know that." "Thank you so much, Brother!" Bernard said sarcastically.

"I just needed to find you. I was following you all the way. I tried to talk to you about something but that soldier kept getting in the way."

"Soldier?" Suddenly, another spear was flung and the three dodge it. "WHO GOES THERE?!" shouted Rafael with much anger. "What the hell is that jerk trying to do to us? We did nothing to him." Bernard complained as he got up from falling on the floor after taking cover. "I did that to alert you. Sorry if my aim was more than deadly accurate. I was aiming for the left shoulder to immobilize the angry peasant with the hidden gladius from Auburn Hills"

"This is just a big knife. Wait...how did you know..."

Terra explains, "This man was following me as he was getting to you while you were riding off. I tried to shout out to you but you were too fast and all I could do was to distract him."

The hooded felon appeared. He wore shining white armor with a full face helmet.

"As to your query, Master Bernard de Camp, that man had something that was taken from a French library over a year ago. I cannot help but wonder how a farmer with a big knife could possibly infiltrate such a high-level institution owned by the Church."
