I’m not mad
I’m not bitter
And I’m not angry
It’s just that today is just a Thursday for me!
I saw them holding
I saw them hugging
I saw them…loving
But here I am-doing my home works and projects to be submitted in the early morning.
I heard them crooning
I heard those calling sickly- I mean... sugary words
Saying “Baby”, “Honey” ... “I love you” and all
While I’m here in my room listened in the lively Rock n’ Roll.
They are with their boyfriends
I am with my mother
Their gifts are flowers
While mine are words
They love this day
Hmm…I’ll rather spend my time eating my food on the plate
If I’m going to a date?!
It’s a date on a calendar checking my schedules and deadlines.
I’m not so excited
Actually this is just a day for me
With tons of projects and assignments
My mind is preoccupied by Animal Ecology.
I’m not mad
I’m not angry, most especially
I’m not bitter
It’s just that… Valentines Day this year is just a loaded day for me!
