Victor's 17th Birthday - from "Can You Teach Me?" Storyline
As soon as the Christmas Eve concert was over, Gabriel scurried to the side entrance to go backstage. He watched as Victor went past him to his dressing room. Gabriel was on a mission, no way was he letting those panties out of his sight.
The stage hands made their way center stage to unlock the wheels that moved the Grand piano out there in the first place. It took three guys to maneuver the beast of a piano. There was a different concert being held here in two days and if they didn't want to have to come in on Christmas Day, they would stay late tonight.
Since Gabriel felt no one was watching, he made a dash across the width of the stage, bending down to scoop up the panties and continue on to the stage right entrance. Gabriel glanced over his shoulder to see that none of his family saw what he had gone to retrieve. His family was currently enraptured with Trouble. Gabriel smiled as he watched them from afar.
One month later...
"Happy Birthday!" The whole family exclaimed with glee. Victor was in a happy place today. It was his birthday and his parents had given him the best gift money could buy... A trip for two to Australia, for George and Jasmine.
"Are you sad your parents are out of the country for a month?" His Princess asked with concern.
"I hear Australia has some gorgeous reefs and amazing wild life." Kota commented with a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "There are some interesting birds there, too. According to the Toma team, that went on a mission there, they heard of an elusive bird who was eager to remove the eyes of it's prey."
"That's gross." Sang was making a disgusted face but for some reason, unknown to Sang, Victor's smile grew exponentially.
"Was it wise for them to go to Australia?" Nathan asked with a chuckle. "I hear that 35,000 people go missing each year there." His Peanut gasped at his announcement. "I don't mean to frighten you Peanut. 95% of those missing people are located pretty quickly."
Owen was giving the boys the stink eye for scaring Miss Sorenson. She would surely have nightmares again. "This is Victor's birthday party. Let's not talk about vermin."
"How about presents?" Sang asked as she bounced on her toes with excitement.
"Fuck yeah! I have the most fanfuckingtastic gift any famous motherfucker could ask for." Gabriel sounded almost maniacal. "Mine first!"
No one had had the chance to see the gift Gabriel brought. He wouldn't tell anyone what he got for Victor. But from the looks of it, everyone figured it was a painting, from the size and shape of it. Victor looked up at the painting over the mantle here in Sang's house of the whole family. Gabriel was gifted and Victor would proudly display anything Gabriel made for him.
Victor voiced this as Gabriel handed him the present. "I am guessing it is another Gabriel Coleman masterpiece. I will proudly display this in my living quarters until the day I move out." Which happens to be exactly 365 days from today! Victor was now on the countdown to freedom.
"I am going to hold you to that one! You don't know what kind of fucking promise you just made." Gabriel slapped his knee as he doubled over with laughter.
Victor ripped off the wrapping paper, the front of the frame facing only him. Victor turned white as the blood left his face, then he turned an interesting shade of green as he suddenly looked sick to his stomach, followed by red when his cheeks flamed red and his eyes became a blaze of, what was that? Embarrassment or fury? No one knew for sure.
Sean, always cheeky, broke the silence. "Victor, the suspense is killing us! Share!"
Eyes cast downward, Victor turned the large 24" x 36" black frame around. Silence hung in the room as everyone took in the present Gabriel had made. Luke was the first to react, "That is a priceless work of art, Victor. A one of a kind masterpiece."
Silas laughed, "There is no other like it!" North joined in laughing with his Greek brother. Dual rumblings of bass laughter shook the room.
Sang sat down on Victor's lap and turned the picture frame to face both of them. She studied the newspaper clipping that was surrounded by a matte gold border. The headlines read, "Flying Panties for Morgan". And here they were. The offending article of clothing. White, lace panties from some crazy socialite. Victor noticed the smile that crept onto his Princess' face. How could he hate a present of framed white lace panties from Gabriel when it brought a smile to his Princess' face?
"Gabriel... I made you a promise, and my word is my bond." Victor said with sincerity. Gabriel was adjusting his hair as if he was primping for a photo shoot. "Besides, it will piss off Jasmine." Victor hugged Sang to his body as the whole family openly laughed at the reaction they knew George and Jasmine would have, IF they made it home from their Australia trip for two.
