I hear Nate and Max leave for school, their car engine revving. I walk out of my room wearing jeans and a black hoodie, with the note in my pocket. I walk downstairs to see I'm the only one home. I knew my mom was at work already. She works at the casino 24/7 to support us because our deadbeat dad left us. I sigh grab my bag with literally nothing in it and begin to walk to school.

I check the time. 8:45. Perfect. I stand in front of the school in the crowd and look over at the parking lot and see two cop cars and people rushed around it. I see Max and Nate standing at the front of the crowd and Britney on the other side smiling at me. I run over to her and I punch her across the face. She yelps in pain holding her face on the ground.

"You can arrest me now because I threw the first punch." I say smiling. One police officer tackles me to the ground I land on my stomach and she pins me down taking her handcuffs out and putting them on my wrists, locking them in place. She makes me stand up and I look at Max he looks at me and smiles. I am put into the backseat of the cop car. The window is open and a girl officer comes over to me with a bunch of papers in one hand a pen in the other.

"Megan Faye do you have the money or no?" she asks looking at me. I look at Max who was playing with his fingers obviously nervous. I then look over to Nate and he looks at me and takes the envelope he gave me. He shows me it and puts it back in his pocket and sigh in relief.

"I do not have it, officer." I say. She looks at me and nods.

"We would take you into Juvie but since you punched the same girl you injured I think you might be going to a court hearing, honey." she says, laughing, handing another officer the papers and getting into the front of the vehicle and starting it up. I look out the window and see Max rushing to me, with a worried look on his face.

"I have the money." he says. I shake my head no and I kiss him on the lips. The vehicle drives away leaving Max all alone in the parking lot. He stared at me until I was out of site.

We get to the police station and the officer told me she would be right back. She walks inside the station and about 25 minutes later she comes back getting me out of the car and taking the hand cuffs off.

"If you do anything stupid you will be tackled onto the ground and believe me, it will hurt." she says and I nod.

She hands me the papers and begins to speak "You will not be going into Juvie now since you injured another person. Instead, you will have a court hearing tomorrow to see your results and where and what will be happening. But right now you will be staying in a jail cell in the station. Your trial will begin at 10 tomorrow morning so you need to be up and ready. Now get up so I can make sure you have no weapons." I stand up and she moves my hands to the car and begins to pat me down. She checks my pockets and finds the letter and begins to read it and puts it back in my pocket. I smile and she takes my phone and keys out of my pocket and she puts the handcuffs back on me and guides me back into the police station. We walk to the main desk and she puts my keys and phone on the desk and the lady who's at the front desk takes it and clicks a button to open the door to the cells. We walk down the hall and all the cells were full of people. A couple people were banging on the cell doors and yelling. I cringe and look down the hall. She stops and pulls me back and opens the cell door.

"Here's your cell. You'll be sharing it with someone." she says pushing me in the cell and walking away.

I look around the cell of little light and see a face that I would never imagine to see again.

Cole.

"Howww di-ii-d h-ooow ugh." I stutter nervously. He walks up to me and pulls me into a warm hug I wrap my arms around him and he pats my back and lets go. I take a step back and look at him, he hasn't changed at all.

"Like what you see?" he asks. I chuckle and look into his blue eyes. They sparkled.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I was about to say to you princess." He says smiling.

"Well I punched someone." I say.

"Who and why?" He asks.

"Remember that girl that you ditched me for?" I ask sternly.

"I didn't ditch you for anyone? And if somebody ditched it would be you." He says.

"I saw you on Instagram how you and Britney went to L.A. and-" I say, as Cole interrupts.

"You know Cole's a very popular name right?" He says and I nod.

"So that's why you haven't answered my texts and calls?" he asks and I shake my head yes. He sighs and sits down on the floor.

"I'm sorry, for that." I say. He smile at me and shrugs it off. I laugh and sit on the ground with him.

"I got in this mess because I broke someone's jaw and her nose and then I punched her again in the mouth." I say and he nods.

"Caught for drug smuggling." he says. "Couple months in jail. I got trial tomorrow at like 4."

"I got trial at 11 tommrow." I say. He walks over to me and puts a strand of hair behind my ear.

"You know your as beautiful as the last time I saw you." He says and leans in and kisses me. I close my eyes and kiss back. I then lean back against the wall and he comes and sits beside me and I put my head on his shoulder.

That was a friendly kiss right?
