Waking up was intoxicating. My head ached, actually screw that, my whole body ached but felt lightly numb at the same time. Stupid body. I grumbled as my eyes flooded open, taking in the bright light that illuminated the room.
Oh god, how the light blinded me. It was like a small pack of raging elephants running and stomping onto my eyes. Like bloody hell, I didn't sign up for this.
I tried sitting up, a weight on either side of me. Wait? What? I looked over to my right side, seeing the most wonderful person ever. My amazing boyfriend Gray was there, fallen asleep while holding my hand.
Okay, that one makes sense, but, my other side? I slowly looked over to my left side, shocked to see a boy, about 3-years-old holding my hand. He had (h/c) that illuminating, causing it to look bright. I smiled lightly at how peaceful he looked.
Fatigue finally took over, my eyes shutting again. Sleep took over, a light smile carving into my face.
