Prologue

There was a streak of yellow as something raced through the underbrush. It panted as it's four, strong, spotted legs pumped, propelling the creature forward. Its rounded ears were slicked back to its head as the animal ran, reaching speeds of over seventy-four miles per hour.

Suddenly, the cheetah squealed as it tripped, falling into a patch of mushrooms, as a white flash blinded it and prevented it from getting up. A sickening crack resounded throughout the forest as one of its front legs broke, the bone snapping in two. Finally, almost immediately after the sound, a toddler's pained cry was heard.

This is where our story begins.
