This time I saw them coming, I couldn't miss them.
It was only a few days after the Molly incident and they hadn't bothered me until today. I thought they'd leave me alone, they would've laughed at that if they could, I had thought much too soon.
I dropped my water bottle in shock, the loose lid flying off and the precious water flowing into the parched, dry grass of the dead park.

He had told us it was coming, that we should stop it, but we didn't believe him, no one had. And by the time we knew he was right, it was too late. It wasn't possible, to turn shadows into warriors I mean, but as always, I thought too soon.

Darkness plummeted into the sky, the shadows loomed from the ground to the sky. There was no where to run, no where to hide. Tell me, how would you hide from a shadow?
The shadows were almost invincible, no way of touching them, so no way of fighting them as they slithered into your soul. They wanted me, they wanted Molly and they got Molly. Everyone wanted Sam, 'Sam the human boy', but that's the problem, they had thought too soon.

The park was surrounded by the shadows, a tiny gap caught my eye, I was going to take it. They were big enough now to be hear all over the dead town, the high pitched screaming, the gurgling, the wheezing and coughing of their shadowed lungs. They were coming, but this time, this time I was ready.
