Right when I entered my room I went closed the door going to straight to my walk in bathroom; Stripping off all my clothes and undergarments then going into the shower turning on the hot water. When I entered the shower I shuttered feeling the warm water hit my skin as I grabbed the shampoo bottle squirting some on my hand thinking I'd start off with my hair first. As I started washing my hair I put my head back under the water accidentally opening my eyes as I felt the soap run down my face feeling a stinging sensation enter my eyes, "Shit!" I mumbled as I felt my eyes start to water. Squinting my eyes as I tried to rinse out the soap which was no use.
After that slight struggle and my shower, I exited the bathroom a fuzzy white towel wrapped around me; going straight to my closet looking for something to wear. As I dug around trying to find something to wear I had finally found a red cocktail dress to wear in my supply of clothes in the far back of my closet where I almost never chose from.
When dressed I grabbed my hair curler; curling my hair long black hair being careful not to burn myself. Once my hair was all done I did my make up using a bit of pink eyeshadow not adding to much, but a decent amount. Next I added a thin line if black eyeliner and a dab of mascara to make my eyes pop.
Leaving my room I could hear the shower from my parents room. Which meant my mom must have finished cooking. As I was walking down stairs a wonderful aroma filled the kitchen and main room. Walking to the dining room table all the plates were set with silverware; including lasagna, breadsticks and a bowl of salad.
As I stared at the food my mouth watering slightly I heard the door bell ring.
"Natalie could you get the door?!" I heard my mother shout from upstairs, "Sure mom!" I shouted back rolling my eyes.Going to the front door opening it. A woman at least in her 40's was at the door although she looked slightly younger with long wavy chestnut hair and blue eyes and all the make up on her face.
"Um, hello," I smiled as I moved out of the way, "my mother is upstairs, but she'll be down in a second." I said motioning the woman inside. Her daughter who looked a lot like her, but with brown eyes walked inside next flashing me a smile again.
"You have a really gorgeous home," the lady said smiling as I led her and her daughter to the dining room table.
"Thank you," I said as the two of them took seats next to each other looking around the house.
After a few minutes of awkward silence my mom finally came down dressed in a spring dress her hair up in a bun.
"Hello! it's so nice to have you guys here," she chuckled as she walked over taking a seat,
"Oh, my son should be coming soon he's just really... slow," the lady shook her head chuckling,
"It's alright, my husband should be coming home from work soon also, and my son left earlier for work." my mother shrugged as she looked over at me.
"I never introduced myself to you, I'm sorry how rude of me," the lady said looking over at shaking her head, "I'm Mary," she introduced herself then whispered something to her daughter.
"And I'm Jane," her daughter said rolling her eyes slightly.
"Nice to meet you both, I'm Natalie." I said as flashed a smile.
As we all got to know each other and talk there was a knock at the door, "I'll get it," I said to my mom getting up from my chair going back over to the door.
As I opened I mentally gagged seeing who the person was.
Tyson.
You have got to be kidding. Out of all the boys who could have been my neighbor it had to be Tyson. Is this a joke or something.
"Natalie?" Tyson asked his eyes slightly wide for a moment then smirked, "you look hot." he said as he looked me up and down.
"Yeah whatever," I shook my head giving him a glare as I led him inside my cheeks slightly heating up.
"Living by you probably wont be that bad." he laughed as we reached the dining room taking seats again.
"Hello Mrs. Rodgers," Tyson greeted giving my mother that bright charming smile of his,
"Natalie! this is Tyson, I met him earlier and he told me you go to the same school?" my mom looked at me grinning.
"Um ya." I nodded as I ran a hand through my hair.
As we all kept talking my dad eventually came home and then the night had finally began. At the dinner table we all took turns talking until of course my father brought up the talk on colleges, "So, Tyson what college do you plan on going to?" he asked as he took a bite out of his lasagna.
"I'm aiming to get into Harvard sir," Tyson said smiling as I scoffed looking down at my plate, "Natalie, it seems as if you found something funny mind to share?" my father asked giving me a hard look as I saw all eyes on me.
"Oh, nothing dad! I just find it SO amazing that Tyson id aiming for Harvard," I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice then taking a bite of salad. "Mind telling me what college your planning on going to?" Tyson then asked me smirking again.
"Anyway away from here and especially you," I mumbled as I kept my eyes on my plate. "Natalie! That is not the way to talk to our guest!" My mother said shocked as I just shrugged.
"Aw Aw Lucinda, It's just the kids getting off to a good start in their relationship!" Mary then said as I could see Jane and Tyson try to hold in their laughter.
"Yeah, mom I'm pretty full may I be dismissed?" I asked shaking my head as I grabbed my plate getting up, "Yes you may , thank you for asking." My mother then said as I walked away to the kitchen putting away my dishes then went straight to my room shutting the door, jumping onto my bed picking up my IPod and headphones then listen to The 1975 until I fell asleep.
