3. Point Blank

Fate is inevitable,

your destiny is set.

The cards that you've been handed is all your going to get.

Early in the journey,

a voice from deep within,

will whisper to you softly,

'your never going to win.'

Ignoring all the signs your shown all along the way,

hoping and believing,

maybe you'll reach your goals someday.

then one day,

when it's too late to heal the damage done,

unable to continue,

you'll sit,

staring at a gun.

You feel comfort,

only when you picture dying in your mind,

escape into a new hell,

leaving all of this behind.

Locked in the asylum of all the guilt and pain,

encased entirely in darkness with only you to blame.

And just then it finally hits you,

and again you hear the voice,

' I tried to warn you long ago,

you never had a choice.'

Anger overwhelms you,

your suffering in vain,

consumed by deafening memories,

making you insane.

Your life was premeditated,

and your misery insured,

your spirit cries for mercy,

your cries remain unheard.

The steel is cold and hard,

you press the gun against your head,

you escape your prison,

two clicks BOOM....

Slowly dying,

dying,

dead.
