It had been a few months since vijay and Kaveri entered their contract marriage.At first, things were awkward-two strangers living under the same roof ,bounded by an agreement .but slowly somewhere between shared dinners , small conversations ,and stolen laughs they grew into...friends
That night , kaveri sat curled up on the bed ,her face pale and her hands are pressed against her stomach.the cramps are worse than usual .she tried to act normal ,but vijay who had been working nearby immediately noticed the way her brows knitted in pain
"Kaveri"? He asked softly
"Are you okay "?
She shook her head ,forcing a weak smile "it's nothing serious..just periods cramps.I'll manage

He was giving her space ,but to her surprise ,he returned with a hot water bag

"I wanted to ,"he interrupted gently ,sitting beside her .for a moment neither of them spoke ,the silence wasn't heavy anymore -it was warm
"Do you want tea "?" Or maybe chocolate?"He asked suddenly, his lips curve into a faint smile my mom asked me these things when she gets periods of cramps than my dad to know all about it and teach me how it's pain a lot
Kaveri couldn't stop that small laugh that escaped her" how cute uh "
Vijay rubbed his head back and smiled at her
He went to the kitchen and came back not only with ginger tea but also a small bar of chocolate "don't tell anyone Im taking care of you like this "he joked handling it over

She leaned against the headboard , sipping her tea ,the cramps still hurt , slowly drifted into sleep but with vijay beside her -adjusting her blanket ,making sure the hot water bag was stayed warm and he know something was shifting between them - something he couldn't deny anymore
