"You're lucky it didn't happen in a live taping!" Michael had said to me after Rowan went back to her trailer. "If the fans were there, the fandom would've been in chaos!"

I was sitting on my bed in my trailer. The blue bedsheets were wrinkled, but I didn't bother ironing them.

What did I do?! I don't know what came over me. I just took her face and kissed her. I've been longing to kiss those perfect, pink lips since... Girl Meets First Date. I missed that feeling. I remember the first time we kissed, at her house, when we practiced for the season 1 finale. It was awkward. But I enjoyed it.

Her face is what I think of every moment of my life. Her dark, wavy hair, her perfectly shaped face, her rosy cheeks, her pretty lips and her eyes... Those warm, brown eyes. When I look into them I feel like getting hugged by a fuzzy teddy bear.

Why did I kiss Rowan though...? Either because I was too into Lucas' character, or because...simply because I wanted to.

A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts. I stood up and opened it.

"Howdy, cowboy," Sabrina went in without asking and sat down on my couch. Typical.

"Hey, Brina," I tried to sound casual but I just sounded stiff.

"Aw, no need to act stiff around me, sundace! Row Row told me everything," she smirked and decided to open my pack of emergency snacks.

"Hey! Those are my emergency snacks!" I said. Sabrina just stuffed her mouth with food, completely ignoring me.

"So," she started. "Why did you do it?"

"Do what?"

My door flew open. Corey walked in and sat down next to Sabrina.

"Spill," he said.

I sighed. Of course Rowan told them all about it. They were best friends! "I- I dunno, okay? You know those moments when you really wanna do something, and you completely ignore everything else?"

"Yeah, just like how I really wanted to eat your 'emergency' pack of snacks," Sabrina said casually. Corey stuffed back a laugh.

"Whatever. I just- I don't know! I really really really really wanted to kiss her," I put my face in my hands.

"Look, Pey, I'm putting my best friend-" Sabrina caught Corey raising his eyebrows. "-our best friend in your hands. I know you well enough to know you would never hurt her. Promise me you won't." Corey and Sabrina offered me their pinkies. I took a deep breath and entwined my pinkies with theirs.

"Good," Corey exhaled and stood up with Brina, ready to leave. "I'm watching you, freak." He laughed and walked out, Sabrina shutting the door behind her.

I instantly felt like puking. I loved Rowan more than any other girl, but I can't promise that I won't hurt her. And I can't bear to see her get hurt. Every time she's hurt, I feel this big hole punctured in my heart.

I walked out of my trailer, heading towards Rowan's. I needed to apologise.

*****

I knocked on her door. "Rowan?"

"Who is it?" She called.

"Peyton."

Silence.

And then the door creaked open. There she was, standing there in a flower crown and a dress. She was beautiful. Her chocolatey brown eyes stared into my green ones. I wonder what she was thinking about. Either "stalker alert" or "help".

"Hi." She said without any emotion.

"Look, I'm really sorry about what happened earlier today. I don't know what I was doing." I looked straight into her eyes, asking for forgiveness. I expected her to ask me to leave.

Instead, she gestured me into her trailer.

I sat down, surprised. "Why'd you do that, Pey?" She asked. I loved when she called me Pey. It felt so warm and welcoming.

"I'm really sorry, Rowan. I didn't mean for anything to happen. Not like that," I explained. But I was lying. "I sort of messed up back there. I don't know what came over me. I was just really into my character. Lucas would've done that to Riley. I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

Rowan's face fell. "Oh," she said quietly and turned her head around. "It's okay. You can leave now."

"What's wrong, Row?" I turned her face back to me. She looked at me with a sad smile.

"Nothing. Forget it."

"Hey," I put my arm around her. "You can tell me." She let out a breath adorably and fit her head right between my head and shoulder, snuggling.

"This feels so peaceful." she said.

"Yeah. Just you and me. Snuggling."

She laughed softly. Her laugh was my favourite sound in the world. It reminded me of all the good things happening around me.

She lifted her head up (aw ☹ ) and took my hand. "Wanna come over to my place for dinner? Mom's making lasagna," Rowan picked her bag up.

"Sure," I replied. "Let me go get my bag. Meet me at the studio entrance in 5 minutes."

I walked towards my trailer, hands in my pockets. I was so relieved. Rowan wasn't angry, she wasn't mad, nothing strange happened- apart from her being all upset and stuff when I said it was just Lucas that kissed her, not Peyton. I was thinking that she liked me when #RealityCheck. I was three years older, quiet, and she probably thinks I'm a freak after I kissed her. Great job, Peyton, great job.

I opened my door to see a short, bald man sitting on my bed, checking my phone.

"What the hell?! Who are you?! Get out!" I stormed in and shoved the man off my bed.

"Calm down, son," he said. I furrowed my eyebrows. Who the hell was he?!

"My name is Jackie, and I'm your undercover bodyguard. Michael informed me of the incident that happened this morning. You kissed Ms. Blanchard, correct?" I was cut off before I could even reply. "Yes, yes. You see, Michael loves you like a son, he doesn't want you to run around kissing co-stars. The world is a very dangerous place, Mr. Meyer... Especially when you're a celebrity. Better watch out for the paparazzi. You don't want the social media to see you and Ms. Blanchard, no?"

What the heck?! I didn't ask for a personal bodyguard. I didn't NEED one. I'm 19 for God's sake!

"Look... Jackie? I don't need a bodyguard. Tell Michael. I'm 19; I can handle myself. Also, you can tell him the incident that happened this morning wasn't real. It was nothing. Rowan's like my little sister. Would you kiss your little sister? No. I don't have any feelings for her. She's 16. She's like my family. I wouldn't ever kiss her. Okay? Go. Thanks for the time."

Jackie stood up and frowned. "As you wish, sir," he walked out, mumbling to himself.

I grabbed my backpack and headed out to the door. A figure was running away, towards the entrance. I couldn't tell who it was. Squinting my eyes, I saw a dress. Must be a girl. And then I saw her brown hair. Rowan?

"Rowan!" I shouted, running after her, where are you going?" But she kept on running, and she was out of sight.

She dropped her flower crown. I picked it up and held it firmly. I noticed a trail of water- tears?

I think I know what happened.
