I believe that each person has a soul mate; a person with whom you are so compatible that you share a bond stronger than anyone else could comprehend or fabricate. I believe that the love soul mates share has the power to withstand time and distance. I believe that this love is so pure and indefinite that no one could ever come between it. I believe love is a word that should only be used to describe true passion, and that society uses the word love much too frequently, with little understanding of the words true meaning.
My parents are a perfect example of what I consider true soul mates. As I've grown older watching my parents, I've noticed that they are almost like two pieces of a puzzle. Their own personal puzzle that they began when they were married and completed by having my brother and I. My parents do not seem compatible at first they disagree and have very different opinions; but in reality, they fit together perfectly. My mom is a very loving woman, she loves dancing and doesn't care whose watching, she has the most incredible laugh and the most beautiful smile. My dad is a businessman and very professional, but tells the funniest stories and loves nothing more then to challenge himself each day to make my mom smile her beautiful smile.
I have so many friends who have watched their parents' fall out of love and eventually divorce. My parents haven't always gotten along, but in the end they make it work. Their relationship has always worked out because as far as I can tell, they are truly meant to be together. Divorce is so common and is typically viewed as something negative, however I think of it as a new opportunity. Maybe I don't think of the word divorce with a negative connotation because I haven't had to experience how detrimental it can be. I view divorce as a new opportunity to find your true soul mate, an opportunity for both of the divorcees to find their true love, a new start.
I believe everyone has a soul mate. I believe that this soul mate is someone that you share a bond that is so incredibly passionate; it will be incomparable to any previous romances. I feel that I have witnessed the relationship soul mates share through my parents incredible bond. I believe people do not use the word love in the proper context with enough passion and understanding of how powerful of an impact the word love truly has. I hope that you all find true love and happiness. I hope that you all find your soul mate and when you do, use the word love frequently and never fail to let he or she know how much you truly care.
