The Purple Sisters

Untitled Part 4

"My thoughts exactly!" I slouched in my chair as I listened to Dartanians complaint about our new neighbors dog. He was spraweld out languidly on my bedrooms green shaggy carpet, it was a color that mathced his eyes. As i took a moment observed him as he continued with his rant.

" Seriously Vi, if your mother hadnt shown up at prercisly the moment she did I would have been dog meat!"

"What a terrible way to go" I shook my head as a means of showing some empathy. Dartanian stood up and streched out his spine before leaping on to my lap and nudging my hand with is head. It was his way of asking me to pet him.

" Don't worry dartanin I'll speak to the new neighbors...the dog's barking has kept me up for three nights now and im pretty sure I flunked my biology pop quiz today due to the lack of sleep I got last night." I said while running my hands through his thick grey coat, although by the way he was purring I dont particularly think he heard what I had to say. I nuged him off me before I made my way downstairs and out the door.I couldn't postpone this any longer, I needed to speak with our new neighbors and explain to them the colatoral damage their dog was causing. Although it was daunting task seeing as I was always nervous around people especially stangers. As a citizen of America I needed to stand up for my rights against noise polution and sleep deprevation. Yeah I know, a sound mind and a rested body, what could be more important?

I knocked on thier door  and waited for a few seconds as I rehersed my speech mentally, a minute went by with no response so I rang the doorbell. Instead of a bell going of a red light flashed throughout the house starteling me for a moment. A few seconds later I heard the sound of footsteps approaching,within in seconds the door was flung open and a huge grey blob flashed before my eyes before I was knocked to the ground. A slight shrill escaped my lips as the distinc feeling of having my face licked arose. I opend my eyes and a huge great dane stood above me wagging his tail with a rudder like speed and planting kisses all over my hands and face. Apparently this dog was having the time of his life, all I could think about was the germs. Before I could gather up the energy to scream again, I felt the dog being lifted of me. A hand was stuck out to help me up and  I tentively grasped it for support. The hand was firm and slightly muscular so i knew it was a male before I even got a glimpse of his face.

" Im sorry...I just" I started apologising for no apparent reason when we made eye contact I froze for a second. It was almost a visiral reaction, my whole body was covered in goosebumps the only thing I could compare it to was the fisrt time I ever heard dartanian speak...strange. He seemed to be having the same reaction, or atleast thats what it looked like he didnt say anything.

Who are you?

A whisper fluttered its way into my mind.

" Im Vi-" I started automaticaly before I realised his lips werent moving when he "spoke" I looked at him for a moment taking in his deep azure green eyes and the the dark brown hair that looked feather soft and the long whispy lashes that every girl could only dare to dream of.
