{CHAPTER ONE}
13 year old Cameron Scott had been dreading this day ever since he heard that he must attend. Little did he know, he would meet the love of his life that night.
Cameron gathered all of his school supplies for 7th grade, as his mother had just told him to get his things, because they were going to his open house at his new school, The Middle School. Cameron's mom drove him to the middle school, along with his little brother Lucas and his little sister Anna.
Anna was 7 going on 35, she wanted EXACTLY what she wanted, and she wanted it right then and there, and if she didn't get it...she would make your life a living hell. Lucas was 10, he was pretty quiet at home, but at school he was a troublemaking,fight starting,punk. He was constantly in the principals office. When he was at home though he was a totally different kid. Cameron and Lucas were total opposites, Cameron was always trying to keep his grades up, he was that shy kid that you would see, sitting in the back corner of the classroom trying to avoid everyone. Lucas on the other hand was a class clown, he had good grades, but he didn't care about school, all of his teachers hated him.
Cameron and his family walked into The Middle School, Cameron was instantly overwhelmed. He wasn't ready for Middle School. He had just gotten used to the Intermediate School!
Cameron took charge of his family, by habit, and started leading the way, rushing around and hurrying as fast as he could. They first went to meet Mr. Gregory, the assistant principal, where they picked up his schedule. Then they went to see Mrs. Medley, the principal, where they added a school map to their collection of things.
They went to the first class on Cameron's schedule, Art, where they met his art teacher, Mrs. Lawson. Next, they made their way to Mr. Dicus' Science classroom. After that, they made the long journey to the other side of the school, to Mrs. Scott's classroom, she taught: REC, Comm. Arts, and Theater Arts. Cameron had her for every single one of those classes. Then, they hurried to Mrs. Kekec's Math classroom, they continued to do this until they got to Ms. Ernst's Foreign Languages classroom. They walked into the Foreign Languages classroom, where Cameron first met Stephanie.
Stephanie was all that Cameron had ever wanted. She looked to be about his age. She was beautiful, she had the prettiest eyes that Cameron had ever seen. "Hi, my name is Cameron," Cameron said to start a conversation. Stephanie replied with a simple "Hey!" Cameron got all choked up, he didn't know what to say. He managed to stutter "w-wha-what's your na-na-name?"
{CHAPTER TWO}
The two days that were left before Cameron started 7th grade, of course, flew by... extremely too fast! Before he knew it Cameron was walking across the street to the bus stop to head to his first day of 7th grade. Cameron was extremely nervous all day... except for 7th hour, he had the best time of his life. Cameron completely tuned out the teacher and spent the whole hour staring at Stephanie. He didn't know it yet, but he was madly in love with Stephanie.
"Cameron, would you like to remind the class of the #1 classroom rule?"asked ms. Ernst. Cameron made a fool of himself by replying, "Me?! Uhhhhhh Ummmm... could you please repeat the question?" Everyone in the classroom let out a light chuckle. Ms. Ernst repeated herself, "Could you please remind the the class of the #1 classroom rule?" Cameron quickly started scanning the room for clues, anything that would help him answer this question correctly. He wanted to make a good first impression. He let out a sigh of relief when he seen the rules posted on the wall to his left. " Treat others like you want to be treated" Cameron replied. "Correct!" said Ms. Ernst in her usual, cheery voice.
Cameron spent the rest of the day thinking about Stephanie, probably a lot more than he should have. He knew that he liked Stephanie, but he was too afraid to tell her. He had never been in a serious relationship with a girl before, and he wasn't very good at talking to people in general, much the less asking them out.He considered every option, he first thought that he would just have one of her friends ask her out for him...then he decided that that wouldn't work, it would make him look like a coward. He considered finding her number on Facebook and texting her to ask her out... once again he decided not to do that, because that would make him look like a stalker. Cameron was a little bit stressed, he didn't know what he was going to do. So he did what he always needs help, he prayed, he prayed like he had never prayed before.
