Friend Request Denied

Chapter One

Eryn was the perfect student in the town of Marygale, Texas. She had straight A's, lots of friends, and had the best personality out of everyone at Marygale High, the school she just entered as a freshman two weeks earlier. Her closest friends were amazing through her eyes. There was Aubrey who was Eryn's closest friend, and just as musically talented, then there was Drew who was ADHD and weird in a good way. Eryn was perfectly happy with her grades and friends, but there was one person who she got nervous around. His name was Johnathan, John for short, and since school had started Eryn had the biggest crush on him.

Eryn would love to talk to him but she can't because One, he was a junior while she was just a freshman, Two, He didn't have a single class with her, and Three he was a jock while she was an honer roll student. She hated having crushes on people she couldn't get close to. Right as she thought that she turned the corner and ran right into him and dropped the signed copy of 'Harry Potter' she was holding. "Oh, sorry! That was my fault." John said with a goofy smile. Eryn blushed and said, "It's okay." as she tried to walk away before her face was completely red. "Hey, wait!" Eryn stopped in her tracks and turned around to see John Lifting up her copy of 'Harry Potter'. She choked up and walked back and managed to say,"Thanks.". Right before she had the chance to walk away he said, "Hey, I haven't seen your face around here, are you new?" "Yeah my names Eryn and I'm a freshman here." she managed to say. "Nice to meet you my name is Johnathan, but you can just call me John." he said. Eryn wanted to say 'I know' but she didnt want to come off as creepy or rude so instead she just came up with an excuse to leave. "Well, I have to go to geometry so maybe we can catch up later" she said hoping to be able to leave easily. "Alright, bye." John said. Eryn walked away with a sigh of relief as John walked off in the opposite direction.

At lunch Eryn told her friends everything that happened in the hallway with John. Aubrey was intrigued by her story but Drew was definitley not. "I still don't know why the hell your into that jock, but I don't have a right to judge you." he said with a stubborn look on his face. Drew was in ROTC so he didn't like athletics jocks because they thought they were better than him. "Drew, not all jocks are bad. John is an aspiring veterinarian who cares about animals." Aubrey said. "Whatever, I dont care anyways." Drew replied.

Just a few minutes later John was walking past Eryn's table when he saw her and said, "Hey, I didn't know you had the same lunch as me! You seem pretty cool and I feel bad about running into you earlier, so I want you to have this." He handed her a coupon that said that it would give her a free drink and candy at this fridays football game. "Thanks John... your... uh... nevermind." Eryn said. "Ok well i'm gonna go sit down now." Eryn felt so embarresed when he left because of how stupid she sounded. She watched john sit down with his friends as he said something and looked back at her. She thought he had said something good about her but she was shocked when she heard all of his friends laughing at what he said.

She walked home after school, and halfway there a truck slowed down next to her and the window opened. The guys inside the truck threw something out the window at her and when she saw what it was, she had to fight to keep her lunch down. They threw a used condom right in front of her. The truck sped off with the guys all laughing inside. She ran the rest of the way home and went right upstairs when she got there. "What a weird day" she said to herself. Right as she said that her phone rang. It was Drew. She answered and said "Hey what's up?" "Eryn I have some bad news, open up instagram and look at John's profile." She got on her iPad and opened it to John's instagram account. She gasped at what she saw and started crying. He had just uploaded a photo of her after lunch that said 'She is such a slut, throwing herself on me in the hall and at lunch. She freaked me out!'. She started crying and Drew heard her and said, "Eryn it's not that b..." She hung up on him and layed down and sobbed into her pillow. How did this happen to her? Why would he say things like that? She cried herself to sleep within minutes.

She woke up to her mom shaking her awake, saying that dinner was ready. "Hey, honey. Long day at school?" "Yeah" Eryn replied wiping the sleep out of her eyes. "What time is it?" Eryn asked. "It's five thirty. Now come downstairs, dinner's ready.

Eryn had to force herself to get up out of bed and down the stairs
