Greying Veil

She looked up in the sky.

The clouds were grey like her heart and soul.

You feel what I'm feeling don't you?

She asked the greying veil .

The veil rumpled making thunder appear answering her undying question.

Yes, my child.

I'm grieving.

I will always be here until he comes again.

A ghost of a smile appeared on the corner of her lips.

Her puffy tear stained face rested on the cool window.

My love why me? she whispered.

Was she too selfish

Was she too proud

Was she that narcissistic too ask him to come so soon.

To wait until the time was near.

He told her it is too soon but she couldn't.

She didn't believe him

Slowly she detached herself from the window.

Walking to her bed.

Laying there embracing herself while crying. Thinking how selfish she has been by calling him so soon.

''Be patient my child'' she heard whispers

''Be patient with him''

Everything will fall in its place,, like bricks from a puzzle piece

Until then.... I will grieve with you

I will carry half of your burdens with me till you heal.

So when the one who holds your heart comes again you will be free of this dark fog.

Like a dry lake her bed got trenched in salty water.

Burning the sides of her eyes

Crying like a child she fell asleep hoping he would hear her cries

Hoping he would sense her pain and need for him...........
