When my dad told me that we were moving to Delaware I was shocked. At first, I thought where the heck is Delaware? I have never heard about it other than the one time in history class when we were learning about the colonies. My dad had cheated on my mom about three years back, so they were no longer together. But, they are still on talking terms so at least my dad will drive me to my mom's house to visit. I tried to tell my dad that I didn't want to go with him, but he would not let me stay with my mom. We left my house in sunny SoCal to a house in Delaware about a week ago. We drove because my dad didn't trust the  movers with our stuff.

We are finally here, after a week and a half of driving. It is mid-January and there is snow everywhere! I have never seen snow before in my life because it just doesn't snow in Southern California.
My dad had just woken me up from my nap because we are about ten minutes away. I looked at my dad and smiled thinking about how happy he looked. He used to live in Delaware when he was a kid and his five brothers and sister lives here.
"Hey daddy?"
"What's up Julia?"
"Umm, how much longer is it? I really need to pee," I have the bladder the size of a peanut. I had forced my dad to stop four times today, and it was only noon.
"About eight minutes... Please don't make us stop."
"Fine. Remind me again why we had to leave all of my friends and Jonathan back home?"
Jonathan was my boyfriend back home and we have been dating since 7th grade. Now, we are seniors so we have been dating for five years. We decided to try long distance because we just couldn't break up. I can't believe my dad wouldn't let me finish my last semester of high school back home.
"Because honey. I have a job here that pays a lot of money and next year I am going to run for senator. I can't do that in California, there are just too many candidates. I know you wish you could've stayed with your mom but you know she travels way too much and you would be alone most of the time," I rolled my eyes as my dad said this because he still thinks I am his baby.
"I AM 18 YEARS OLD! I CAN BE BY MYSELF," I said this as I put my earbuds in, the universal sign that you no longer want to talk and just want to be left alone.
My dad sighed as he reached over and stroked my head. He pulled out one of my earbuds and said, "We're here."
I looked out the window and saw houses that were huge! My dad told me we were moving into a bigger house but I did not expect to live in a mansion. I guess this new job does pay well. I think he said that he is a lawyer for big business and for celebrities, but I wasn't really listening. As we pulled up to our house, I looked at the house just to the left of mine, just a little smaller in size and saw this boy. He looked about my age and he was hot! He was 6'7" and wasn't wearing a shirt. He had six packs and biceps the size of the moon. He looked over at our car and started walking over. My heart started beating a thousand times a minute as I opened the door to get out. Our eyes met for the first time and I immediately got butterflies. He had the prettiest eyes, they were blue but dark. They were amazing. He had very short facial hair that brought out the natural contours of his face. I expected to shake his hand and say hello, but he pulled me in and gave me a big hug.
He whispered in my ear, "Hey, my name is Hunter and I think you're cute."
