A Love Formed in the Darkness

Onyx sat in the school bathroom. She was crying and she had a knife to her wrist although the floor already had a puddle of blood. She just got a call saying that the plane that her sister was on, has crashed and there were no survivors. Her sister was the only one she cared for, and now she's gone. Ripped away from her like a band-aid off of her skin. This just pushed forward what she was already planning to do. She was going to wait to do this until she saw her sister, but now there is no reason to keep living. She took the knife in her shaky hand and placed it against her throat.
"H-Hey! Wait don't do that!" She heard someone yelling at her but she ignored them. She was just about to drag the blade across her throat when she felt a strong pair of muscles wrap around her and take the blade. She was shaking badly so she couldn't resist. She had lost a lot of blood and was extremely dizzy. The last thing she got before she passed out was the stranger's amazing scent. She had loved the scent, but she then passed out.
When she awoke she was once again overwhelmed by this scent. She opened her eyes and looked around. She was in a hospital bed. There was only one person with her at the moment and she had no idea who he was.
"Wh-who are you?" Onyx struggled to speak but she choked it out.

"My name is Ethan.. Now please don't speak your still weak.." Onyx's head was suddenly pulsing badly and she raised her right hand to her forehead.
"Ow.... God my head hurts..."
"You've lost a lot of blood.. You'll probably have a headache for an hour or so.." He moved to sit on the bed next to her. He watched her eyes. As soon as she saw him her cheeks grew warm. He had longish black hair which laid over one of his eyes. His eyes were an icy blue and his skin was pale. He was very muscular and built. His white shirt was covered in blood.

"Who's blood is on your shirt?" She asks him warily. He looks down and smirks slightly then looks back up at her.
"It's yours.." Her eyes widen slightly. She then notices that both of her wrists are bandaged up and that they burn under the bandages. He leans closer to her and runs his hand along her forehead, brushing her hair out of her eyes. Her cheeks turn a soft red she notices, before the dizziness kicks in. She then passes out once more.

A week or so later they finally let her out of the hospital. Onyx and Ethan got to know each other's pasts pretty fast. He didn't really like sports, but he loved music and could play the Electric Guitar. Every time Onyx saw him ,which was all the time, she got butterflies and she couldn't help but smile. She thought that everything in her life was taking a turn for the worst. Until he came along. He was a light in the darkness of this world for her. I think she even can say that she loves him....
He loves to be with her and she can't be without him for a long period of time. He is the spark that keeps her flame alive, and he is her light in this darkened world.
Sense Onyx's parents died when she was little, her sister was all she had left. And sense her sister is now dead as well... She has no one. She technically lives alone but sense Ethan is always at her house you could say that they live together. He's over there often enough it's not like its a secret.

Over the next few months they get closer and closer. It's as if they have know each other sense birth. Those butterflies of Onyx's still haven't gone away, and what she doesn't know is that he gets the same way. After another month, Onyx just turned 19 and because of Ethan she lived to graduate.
At Onyx, and Ethan's Graduation, Ethan pulled a surprise. To Onyx, and the rest of the school...

"Heyy Onyx?"
"Yes Ethan?"
"I.... I have a question for you.."
"Okay... Shoot."
"Well...." Ethan suddenly became nervous, he was shaky and his cheeks were hinting at red. After a second he got down in one knee, and reached into his coat pocket. The entire student body immediately gasped, and Onyx covered her mouth with her hands, her cheeks lighting up.
"Onyx Shade.... Will you marry me?" Onyx was still covering her mouth in surprise, and her eyes were starting to water. She begna crying as she shook her head yes intensely.
"Y-yes!! Oh my God yes!!" She said, bawling. Ethan smiled happily, placed the beautiful ring on her left ring finger, then brought her into a hug. The entire student body stood clapping in awe.
