It is, as it was, the beginning of ...what? Something, for sure, but... what? Fresh starts, fresh air to breathe. The grass was not yet greener on the other side, but on this one, and we stood directly on these greener pastures. We stood together, united in anxiety and fear, each attempting to overcome both so one can speak first. Or at least, I'm the anxious one. A sheepish thought, after the romantic day dreaming. I smiled slightly at my friend, the one about to push me face first into the chest of my crush. Wish I wasn't so short, I thought idly, fingers fiddling as Felix tried playing matchmaker, dragging me up to my crush's place in line, but also cutting in front of multiple people in the same process. "Are you sure you should," I started to ask my over-enthusiastic friend (he seemed to be having more fun than I was with this, making me wonder if it was such a great idea in the first place) but before I could finish, I stumbled into someone else. "I'm so sorry," Felix's voice was the usual, but his tone was a lot ...sweeter. I suddenly knew that this hadn't been an accident. Not to mention, I also found myself looking into the face of my recent crush. But that was a given, considering this was the intended result all along. He started to say something back, maybe an "It's fine," but my good friend, the matchmaker, was already gone. My phone pinged, around the time we both noticed his disappearance. About as quickly as his appearance in my love life, I thought sourly.

I quickly read the message preview, still standing next to him. He'd already gone back to talking to his friends.

Have fun you crazy kids ;)

I blew breath from my mouth. "Of course," I muttered, rolling my eyes and sliding my phone back into my pocket. What else should I expect from him?
