Ruth

I could see right through him. Everything that made him this new person was visible.

His hair was dyed blonde and he now adorned a large class ring.

Its the second week of senior year.

This is gonna be harder than I thought. Suddenly a girl, who I assumed to be his girlfriend, walked over to him. He roughly grabbed her butt and they starting making out.

I cringed. He never grabbed me like that.

Flashback
It was summer time in Florida. That was always hard to tell because of the constant heat and humidity, but that didn't stop Ruth and Enzo.

"Where do you wanna go Ruth?" Enzo asked slowly. He knew what was on her mind and exactly what she wanted to do but he wanted to hear her say it.

"I don't know Zo. Maybe go to the beach?" Ruth suggested. He voice had a message behind it. A message that said 'you know damn well what I wanna do,' but she said nothing.

"Well we gotta stop by my house first. My mom misses seeing you." Enzo informed her. They sat in his navy jeep parked outside of Enzo's house.

"Sure thing." Ruth said smiling like she always did around him. "Kiss me?" Ruth whispered looking at his lips.

He grinned. "Of course."

He leaned into Ruth with excitement coursing through his veins. Their lips met and sparks flew from their bodies. Ruth's hands were suddenly everywhere and Enzo's kisses felt like fire instead of a sweet chaste kisses.

Ruth pulled away before things could explode, but she was ready to stay in his arms forever.

Ruth looked at the couple. They fit each other nicely. Enzo held onto the girl like she fly away. Like he was afraid she would become nonexistent or become someone else.

Ruth walked pass them to see Enzo's eyes open during their kiss. She knew they would be.

She winked at him. Then mouthed the words "I missed you, Zo."
