Madoka Magica Aftermath:Book 1

Ch.10

'It's sooooooooooo nice to see you again Anzu Akemi.'

Homura ready her bow and Anzu pointed her gun. 'It's not nice to point a gun at a friend Anzu.'
"We were never friends."
'But what about all that we went threw together? What about what happened to Jake?'
"Shut up. You forced her to do something that she didn't want to do."
'Oh really? I thought Jake was never your friend?'
"Like you had any,Schatten."
'I'm kinda hurt Anzu. First you and your friend point your weapons at me. Than you say you were never my friend. And now your being mean to me.'
"Can it. Anzu you ready?"
"Yeah."
"Than let finish this."
Anzu unlocked her gun and pulled the trigger. Homura let go of the arrow. They both hit the shadow.
'That didn't work. You see I'm at my strongest in the dark. And sense there's no light around you can't destroy me.'
"Grrr..."

Watching them from above...
"Say Zero, Who is that guy?"
"His names Schatten. It means shadow in German."
"How strong is he?"
"He's pretty strong. He gets his power from the Wraths and any suffering and pain he can cause a person."
"So how do we defeat him in the dark when theres no light?"
"You tell me that. You are part of the Law of Cycles."
((If anyone is confused I will explain at the end.))
"Got that right. I'm just gonna leave this fight up to the girls. They should do fine."
"What's that supposed to mean."
"Oh nothing Zero."
"Lance common I thought we were friends?"
"Let's just go home Zero. Like I said; They should be fine."
"Sometimes you say the weirdest thing Lance."

Back to Anzu and Homura...
"How do we fight him without any light around?"
"We can't. We have to retreat."
"But Hom..."
"We can keep this up. If we fight him until day time I'll run out of magic. You on the other hand you'll feel like crap."
"Fine."
'Leaving already? But the fun was just being.'
"I won't let you go next time."
'Oh I'm sure you won't.'
Anzu held on to Homura as she stopped time. "Let's go."

30 minutes later...
*Banging her fist on the table*
"We shouldn't have let him get away!!!!!"
"You and I both know that we could fight him. Like I said before..."
"Ya ya. You'll run out of magic and I feel like crap."
"Thank you."
"I still feel like we shouldn't have let him go!"
"Anzu."
"Yes Homura."
"I would appreciate it if you didn't brake my
table." She said as she took a sip of tea. Anzu sat down and and put her head in her hands. "Man this sucks!!"
"Anzu."
"Ya?"
*hits her with a book*
((She Maka chopped her like in soul eater. But let's just call it a Homura chop for now.))
"Ow!!!! What the...what was that for!!!!!"
"I'll hit you again."
"No no I'm fine."
Homura put her cup down and walked away. She still had school tomorrow. Anzu sat at the table with lost in her own thoughts. 'Why. Why did you leave. You could've taken Schatten on. But you just left us. You left mom, Aspen, and I. Why...'

-----flashback-----
Anzu was playing around in the flowers behind there house. She had made flower crown and was looked for more to make her little sister one. Homura stood in the doorway watching her daughter. She twisted her wedding ring that was on her ring finger. ((I have no clue what finger a wedding ring or anything ring for that matter, goes on. So just made with me.))
She thought back to when he said he was leaving.

"Homura I can't stay. It's to dangerous now. The world needs hero's. It needs people. People like our daughter, Anzu. She'll be a great magical girl one day. I'm sorry I won't be here anymore. But I'll be back sometime."
And with that he left. But little did they know that there daughter heard every single word and was crying on the stairs silently.

Anzu looked at the patch of red spirt lilies that were growing. She walked over and looked at them. They had made a circle around a small water fall area. She remembered how her father left. He left 3 days right before her 6th birthday. She felt a tear run down her cheek. It fell form her face and into the water. "Sissy are you crying?" Aspen asked her. She wiped her eyes and put on a fake smile. She turned to her sister. "I'm fine Asp. Let's go ask mom for lunch." Apsen smiled and ran up to there mom."Mommy I'm hungry!!!!"
"I'll get lunch ready."
They walked into there house. Anzu ran upstairs and went to her room. She looked at the chart that she had made. It had been 2 1/2 years sense he left. She was now giving up hope. He was never coming back. She only spent 5 1/2 years with him. The only thing she could remember was his eyes and hair. And the times they spent together. Aspen was only 3 1/2 at the time so she didn't understand. Anzu looked out the window. "Daddy,if you can hear me:When will you come back?"
-----End of Flashback-----
"Your never coming back. I knew that at the age of 7. I will defeat Schatten on my own,without your help." Anzu looked at her time disk. "Schatten you better watch out. Because the monster is coming after you."

((Okay so you know how at the end of Rebellion Sayaka and Homura were taking. Homura said she took a sliver of the Law of Cycles,which was Madoka. So my guess it that there's more to the Law of Cycles than meets the eye. Because back when the witches were around the Law of Cycles was that a girl makes a contract with Kyubey. They fight the witches. They turn into a witch themselves. And so forth. I hope you get it because I'm not explaining it again. Swimmer_Dolphin out!!))
