"It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember."
Who do you love? Think of Cas and Dean on Supernatural. When Cas returns, Dean becomes so happy and hugs Cas to death. When Dean was gone, Sam and Cas were miserable and thought of Dean a lot. Think of the person you love. If they were gone, how miserable would you be? I know I would die if the people I love left. But, there are people that say they love you and they will always be there for you, but leave. It's happened to me. I was told I was loved by someone and they said that they would be there for me and my family. They made promises. They gave funny memories and great gifts. Then, they left and then messaged me and my family that they didn't mean it and we're lying the whole time and that everything meant nothing to them. Never let anyone do that to you. You may never forget the memories, but you can forget the person who did this to you. Every memory does count. Those memories did mean something. They made a change to you and your person. They made part of you grow up. Those memories did something that you won't forget. Those memories are yours, cherish them.
