It wasn't often that you and Zayn had private time. He was always involved with something, always had inspiration for some project or was being followed around by eager fans. You admired that about him, how determined he was, but you hated having to share him with the world.

"Babe, come look at this," Zayn called from the balcony, a slight billow of smoke clouding him.

You had both gone on a date earlier and now you were just unwinding, enjoying the company of one another. "What is it, Zayn?"

You walked out onto the balcony, easily spotting the brown eyed boy you were head over heels for. He had a cigarette in one hand, the other gingerly holding onto the railing.

He nodded towards the sky. "Look."

You followed his intense stare up into the sky. It was painted many hues of orange and pink and every color in between. You could clearly see where the colors met, the clouds the only thing still a pinkish-blue.

You were both silent for a moment before you whispered, "it's beautiful."

Zayn nodded in agreement before he turned to you, a smile strewn across his face. "You're beautiful."

You blushed and moved closer to him, allowing his arm to curl around you, and you leaned your head into the crook of his neck. Nestled into his side was where you belonged.

"I love you," he said after a moment and you looked up at him, the sky reflected in his eyes.

"I love you too," you replied and he smiled, meeting you in the middle and pressing his lips against yours.

He dropped his cigarette, stomping it out with his foot while he continued to kiss you, his lips moving slowly with yours as he pulled you closer.

When you both pulled away, eyes slowly reopening, the sun had gone down. You both had a smile on your faces, though.

"Come on, babe, let's go in." He took your hand and, with one last look at the sky, you followed him.
